Theodore Evelyn Mosby is portrayed by Josh Radnor. In 2030, Ted sat down to tell
his kids the story of how he met their mother. Beginning in 2005, Ted's meandering
journey has taken him through many failed relationships, including being left at the
altar. But the architect-turned-professor isn't giving up on his search for the perfect woman.

Robin Charles Scherbatsky, Jr. is portrayed by Cobie Smulders. She is a
Scotch-drinking, cigar-smoking, gun-toting Canadian pop-star-turned-journalist-turned-
morning-show-host. Robin befriended the gang in 2005 after an awkward date with Ted
Mosby. She is the fiercely independent woman of the group who also has a hidden soft side.

Yup, when she thought she was pregnant in “Symphony of Illumination” (before she found out she was imfertile) she kept saying she can’t have a baby and she never will. When engaged to Kevin she said adoption wasn’t an option either and if they got married he will never have children. She ended up helping Ted raise his kids so she still became a mother to Ted’s kids even if not biologically. :D

Hi, Amber! :wave: Oh, it was Something Blue when they broke up that Robin told Ted that? Man, I really haven't seen that in a long time. :lol: I need to go back and rewatch the first two seasons.

Hi, Mary! :hug: Yeah, Robin did keep saying that, but as Amber said, she later admitted in Symphony of Illumination that she wanted to keep the option open in case she ever changed her mind, which meant that she hadn't completely closed the door on that. It's the same thing that she told Ted during his wedding to Stella about how even though they weren't together anymore she always wanted to know that he'd still be there if she ever wanted to get back together. Man, she was indecisive, huh? She always wanted Ted to be there as an option.
