I felt like it wasn't light anymore you know? Like everything had to be dark with the drama. I mean I know relationships and shows need angst and stuff but it was a lot

I liked them romantically in like S1 but after they found out they shared a half brother I just couldn't see them that way anymore and I liked her with Nate more

She had negative Chem with Nate and loved San the whole series. Step sub thing didn't bother me cause they weren't raised together at all. Also I kinda lol at people who call them incest.

it was just a really OTT thing to break them up at that point cause I don't think they could think of anything else. I just find writers breaking couples up just cause lame anyway.

But clearly they had problems. Their relationship wouldn't have lasted IMO. The S5 finale was gross to me. I really didn't like Serena's character after that. I feel like DS was a consolation prize for Dan b/c he couldn't have Blair. Sorry for the rant but I just felt like I had to say that and I know there are ppl who agree with me.

And you think that the ds appreciation thread is the place to express it? I believe he never loved Blair, but it was just a way to piss off Serena and hide from the pain of the feelings he had for Serena. Can we just stick to the separate threads. Coming into a shipper thread to spew hate is kinda gross.

I do think DS would have broken up eventually, but at that point they just got back together and hadn't even been allowed to breathe before they hit them with the love child.
