It is a good idea. Laura and Kyla asked for one this morning anyway.

Still need to read the script

I've read it and I agree, it was less dialogs and more situation. But as I've said in the other board, it was like Sofia Coppola's Lost in Translation. When you read the script, you kinda feel, "What's going on??" because you can't see it. You read Scarlett Johansson's character's talked less, giggles and looks off the window from time to time. Same as Bill Murray's character, who often seemed baffled by everything, but all by expressions and gestures. You don't need awesome over the top dialogs to make a good movie.

The script lacked Jeff Buckley's own music which is good because it will pull the movie off the official biopic. It is solely Tim Buckley's music, his art, and it was how Jeff see's his father's music. On the love interest Ally, she may or may not be just a creation, but I assume if she was real, no one except the people that worked at the concert knew who she is and its common in movies based on true stories to put up a name on a figure not known.

I like this script, because the reason why everyone was so angry that any Jeff Buckley movie was being made was because Jeff himself is very private, he doesn't really want everything in his life out there. But this script solely tells what he had been telling people even during his career, he loved his dad, and Tim Buckley was there.

I watched Tom Sturridge's audition and they put in a lot more in Jeff's dialog about his dad but I'm not sure whether that was only audition script and whether it was in the actual draft now. All in all I liked if the movie has less dialogs because apparently some movies that stays with you is the movie that had the audience feel rather than listen.

Done with my rant. Hope it helps.

No, no that makes total sense. I find penn's best work is when he is not talking. He's great with dialogue, but sometimes his most emotional work is when he says nothing at all.

idk from waht i saw Jeff wasnt a man of words so i found it very appropriate to make a movie about the atmosphere of his music & his inner self & father/son relationship than dialogues & words...

whats your favourite scene btw?
mine is def the fakejammin in the record store & playing with Gary before the concert:

i loved that his father wasnt portrayed in a bad light. he was just in love with his music most of all just like Jeff was when he grew up.

If you can make a scene work with just your body it says alot about an actor

I'm very excited about the concert in the end, because that is when the world first meet Jeff Buckley. Its like in one part he was a reincarnation of Tim but then the next it was all him. My father went to that concert (I think I was 6) and he told me about how Jeff Buckley is Tim's miracle gift.

I dunno why but the scene where Jeff went to get a haircut kinda stays with me. Haha!

I liked the haircut scene too. I also liked when they tiptoed through the grave or whatever it was. I thought it was really silly but cute. And of course when he tells Allie that he wants to make music with her very romantic

and the ACCENTS! oh man I love it. Penn talking in all different accents? adorable
