I'm not british, I'm not American either and Rich could be easily one of my friends. He totally looks like a normal teenager.

Besides I think it's refreshing to see teen characters that don't look like they have just done a Vogue photoshoot.





I love tumblr but I look for skins stuff in the general page so I come across hateful posts too.

I don't know what's the deal with Franky & Mini but they get most of the hate.
Franky is so sweet and I love Dakota. Mini is so interesting and Freya is fantastic at playing her. The way she lost her virginity....I know many many girl who could relate to that.

I seriously don't understand people. I'm loving this gen so much and I love the direction the show has taken. It's a lot more realistic. And so far all the episodes have been great and I can't wait for the next ones.

I could probably safely say the majority of people who post here on the Skins board are not living in the UK but thats what forums are for. I've been watching Skins since 07 but only joined forums in 2010, cause Skins was always something you just watched on the TV on Thursday nights, end of. I dunno if any UK viewers would agree with me. (Basically I've never had a proper Skins discussion that wasn't online somewhere.)

I suppose, what I'm trying to say is, I think when your not in an environment where your constantly discussing and hearing other perspectives it's harder to appreciate Skins as a drama rather than Oh yeah I do that at the weekend too. Hence, it's easier to pass casual judgement without thinking about it. ie: omg they're ugly this year arn't they? Many actual tv viewers wouldn't go further than E4.com. the only reason I did was cause I wanted to know if anyone thought the Gen 2 finale was as **** as I did. Then I realised Skins was discussed so intensely, even internationally. It sounds stupid and naive but was the truth 2 years ago.(for me)

anyway, that was long-winded and unnecessary and I could be completely wrong. Just my thoughts on the matter

in all honesty I am loving this generation 3 already more than I ever did gen 2. The only one of Gen 2 that i ever totlly cared about was Cook. the others didn't mean much to me except in relation to Cook.

and Jess imo is one of the prettiest people on television currently

lmao everyone on the internet mostly kids. all the people in my uni who watch it actually really love it, they don't like matty tho ... apparently mystery man ain't doing it for them.

I've got about 3 friends who are like Rich, and I'm not British. And as for Liv, I know some girls like her too. all party and sex all day. I think Rich and Liv are the most realistic characters in this gen.
The good thing about Skins is that non British people can relate to it too somehow.
I don't know much about British teen, cuz I've only been in England for like 5 days, but it seems that the writers are nailing it, which is really good.

It's not like 90210 (which I like) which is too unreal, like, every single character is hot, things like that don't happen. I can't relate to one character.

I know what you mean! I am so attached to this gen in just three episodes than I ever was with gen 2. And I think Jess is one of the prettiest on TV at the moment.

do you know what the surprising thing is...apart from me watching skins again after the foolishness that is season 4 finale and what they did to ma freddie. the surprising thing is the type of characters that i'm stanning for, like i'd usually love the HBIC type of characters like mini or the least appreciated characters like liv but my favourite character is franky and it's weird because i'm not like franky at all but i can relate to her in away and her episode made me love skins again. so i get

just wanted to say: this title is just WRONG. i think everyone in the cast is perfectly sexy and beautiful.

secondly, that i love each character to bits and pieces even the parents, the professors... even the extras. This is Skins, this is actually happening. I'm in love with Skins again. I don't hear myself say "OMG Skins what are you doing to yourself?!" anymore.
