I really don't think they were blaming Tony's accident at all. Tony's accident was just an example of the ways that Effy was being brainwashed. He made her forget that Tony ever got into an accident - just like he made her forget she ever slept with Cook.

The point was that he was erasing all her bad memories, not that Tony's accident was the thing that destroyed her.

Wow, that was stupid, and ridiculous. They could only make this worse if they open next episode with Effy saying "I see dead people".

Why Jamie Brittain? Why ruin the story of the only character you have introduced from the very begining? The one that many fans who started watching on the first season continued to watch expecting something good, something better. The one who should be deep and misterious and interesting and heartbreaking.

Instead we get some horror movie redux by watching her fall prey of some psycho and then watch him kill another character in such horrible manner. I'm not even a Freddy fan and I feel insulted. That was just sick.

And you know what? This has just put this show on the same level as One Tree Hill and their psycho stories.

Ok, so after watching the first 6 eps of s4, i was already rediculously disheartened, but this ep just...

With one episode left, i can honestly say that i've really not enjoyed series 4 at all. I'm pretty upset, since it had an abundance of potential. They screwed Naomily in the sphincter, ignored certain characters, fed us cheap, contrived storylines, and in some cases just threw together inadequate episodes. It's all been a bit of a mess, sadly.

Anyone think that Luke stepped up the acting for this episode? He was really good! I did like Kaya's acting too, as well as Jack's, because Jack is always amazing, but...

The final nail in the coffin, no pun intended, was the blood splatter in the last scene. I felt like i was watching Freddy Vs Jason. I'm not a fan of freddie, but I really hope that he isn't dead, although i can't see Dr. Foster letting him get out alive.

I don't even want to watch the clips for next weeks eps but i've watched the last seven eps; Might as well watch the last one.

What the absolute **** was Jamie Brittain thinking? There was a LOT of potential for this episode - and even as someone who thinks Freddie is a bad character - that ending was shockingly awful, and now this is going to bleed over into the Finale, which should be going to Pandora and Naomi instead. I can't even compare this to Chris' death - one was crushingly moving, inevitable once we reach 2x08 maybe, but deeply stirring nonetheless, and the other, tonight was by far and away the biggest misfire Skins has ever produced.

See now they're screwed because if they keep him dead, it doesn't change the utter waste of Effy's episode (what ever happened to the explanation for her not speaking?), but if they have him pop-up like OH I SURVIVED... I can't put it into words.

Ok haven't actually watched it yet and can't even... think about all of this clearly right now. And since I haven't seen it I can't really nitpick at anything that other people have mentioned, but I DO have one problem.

WHY has Skins never presented a GOOD example of therapy? Cassie's therapist was *****, JJ's is too, and now Effy's? I mean really... That's just stupid.

Yeah I thought he was excellent tonight (maybe he knew it was his last). I hate plot driven stories. And this has totally killed any enthusiasm I had for the finale. I know tragic things happen to people but why kill Freddie, & in such an awful manner. He deserved a better ending. Hopefully they don't completely trash Effy as well.

I agree. I know a lot of the fans complained about freddie, but i think the manner in which he was executed was a bit much!!! Series 4 has not hit the mark once for me, and this is just another example of that.

I think freddie is in the finale. You guys think it'll be a flashback or something?

ETA: Best part of the ep was undoubtedly Katie's line: 'She dumped you again.' (and even that was sorely inapt, with effy having just made that disturbing speech seconds before)

Also, could Naomi be anymore self-considerate? That girl is seriously just...I'm beginning to think she's a sociopath.

That is my exact problem..if he´s dead..it´s a horrible way to die..no one felt it..no one could even cry..was horribly written...and the worst is that the murderer was a guest character...that suddenly became psycho?

If he survives it will be cheap, predictible, bad written again...and will not have closure at all..

In any case, the finale will be about Freddie, I wanted a freaking episode where everyone is thinking in the future..not in a murder...or a member of the gang missing..this is ****...JB has killed Skins in the worst possible way...I am so pissed I cannot even describe it..now everyone will be thinking WHERE IS FREDDIE? and if they are not..it will be absurd..cause their friends are not even remembering he´s gone...really this became a sci fi show..it´s horrible...
