Yeah, I wasn't jazzed on that font either. it didn't really read 'mystery novel' to me. So I've told him to get me something better and lighten up some of the stuff (also I'm changing the title to "Wrecked Art, Poisonous Words"). Once I get that cover, I'll try to get him to do one for the next Chrisa book, "Arsenic and Diamonds".

I did ask for more a blocky font (I don't know the names for everything, lol). He does have more than one font kind and he said would change it but I haven't heard from him yet. (Then again, I picked on way too many things yesterday and I kinda feel bad but hey, I need to appeal to my readers somehow). If the font is still blah, I'll suggest these to him.
I got some pages of a book edited back to me and I need to look over those now. ETA: Okay, I got draft number 2 which is a little better. My only gripe is how red the title is now. Still not too find of the font they used for the author and the red might be too bright in contrast? Maybe a darker red?

Yeah, I asked to get a darker red too. Not crimson or maroon but a little darker than that. Also want to change the subtitle so it's similar to the blocky lettering. My name isn't on there yet hopefully that'll also be blocky. (Forgive me, the only font I ever use is Times New Roman, lol. So I don't know all the names).

yeah Im always late but I trust you guys, definitely not so bright. And I think a blocky is good but maybe slightly rounded edges.
I dont think the author should be scripty but maybe a thin sans serif font |
