There is a lot to digest for the season finale .
What I can say it’s nice and forgot Harry Bing had passed away . End of the credits the screen did in memory of Harry Bing .. who was a driving force for criminal minds.
So many twists in the end A lot to digest and think about

One thing that bothers me is the whole Deputy Director Bailey going in alone to confront Elias … barley 3 min in he is killed …Going into the finale no idea there was a cliffhanger or what this secret gold star is .Nor did we find out after Elias arrested what this is all about …Bailey death was unnecessary with no build no history untill the strange call Elias made to BAU, insisting on talking to Bailey only

Good episode.

I'm curious to find out what Gold Star is, but I hope it's something that gets revealed/resolved soon in the new season and doesn't drag on for the whole season.

When I read the TV Line article about two good guys getting shot, I had a feeling it would be Will and Bailey. I had a feeling Will would probably be okay since it would be extremely overdone to kill yet another loved one of the BAU, but I was also a bit nervous for him. Glad he was okay. I wasn't too shocked that Bailey was killed, but it was also so fast that it had an "omg" factor to it.

The part with the BAU arriving at where Voit and his family were was good. It had action and was fast paced and I feel like things would start to escalate quickly in that situation. As soon as Bailey said he was going to go in alone to talk to Voit there really was no chance for him.

It's a shame Bailey is dead. He had some good moments in the second half of the season. For a while it seemed like he could have possibly had more to do with the team and possibly be a member, but that is obviously not happening.

I don't trust the Attorney General or Rebecca. Before reading the interview with Erica my first thought was it would be either the AG or Rebecca that opened the door at the end of the episode.

JJ telling Will not to get shot next time they work together made it seem like they were hinting at Will possibly joining the team. While it was nice to see Will with the team, I don't think I'd want him to be a permanent member of the team. It would be weird and would change the team dynamic and would also not be fair to their kids if they were to both end up in danger at the same time.

While I was confident Rossi would come out alive and mostly unharmed, I still enjoyed his scenes in the container. I liked when he spoke directly to Voit and the team picked up on clues in what he was saying. It gave me callbacks to Revelations when the team watched Reid. I also liked seeing Rossi be creative and try to come up with a way to escape. Rossi had a good arc this season and had lots of great moments, but with him being held captive and all the remarks about his age, I wonder what his role will be next season. Maybe he'll do less or little/no field work, but still help with the profiling and work just from the office.

I feel bad for Voit's wife and daughters. I'm glad his wife decided to speak to him after everything to help get Rossi's location. It will be hard for them to move forward though.

I'm curious how they will use Voit in the next season. I hope they just show him every now and then and don't just keep focusing on him. I want to see other cases and stories.

I also hope that they aren't going to push a Luke and Garcia romance. They shouldn't be together if they are working together and I kind of liked that their date ended up being awkward because they were just friends without a romantic spark.

Pretty good season and I'm looking forward to the next one!

My thoughts is unless they knew they were going to be picked up, my thought the person and watch the door is Spencer Reid Who can verbally get into Voit and what is going on

To show Voit being escorted by like 12 armed police in riot gear was a bit much . Voit was shackled in prison gear. Id him being transferred or moved to speak as we think the AG, his handcuffs shackles would not have been removed. Unless he is was a part of some secret group. Yes I wanted more with Voit and Bailey to get some idea of this Gold shield
Almost reminded me of silence of the lambs when they first transferred Hannibal Lecter to speak in person to a senator. Heavily guarded

I've seen a lot of people speculate that they might go a Silence of the Lambs route with Voit in season 2.

The ending with them escorting Voit made me think something might happen that would allow him to escape. Glad that didn't happen!

I guess we are the only ones watching the new season.. I would like a cameo from Derek Morgan next season to visit Penelope and ask her what’s going on with her and this guy she’s fallen for . “ baby girl I don’t have to remind you what happened to that last guy who shot you after a date” !! don’t have to remind you what happened to that last guy who shot you after a date”. I do really need some Dr. Reid return . I’ll be no Erica has said the next season will have more than one case

It would be interesting if Morgan came back and he and Garcia talked about Tyler. Not only for the reason you mentioned, but also because in season 5 Garcia was on Morgan's case about the sister of a victim and told him he needed to stop having contact with her. It's kind of interesting that Garcia gave a lecture to Morgan about getting involved with someone connected to a case and then years later would have to be given her own lecture by Prentiss. Would be interesting for Morgan to kind of throw that and the ethics argument back at her.

If both shows are filmed on the same studio lot . Shemar could do a cameo
