Paget Bewster to Guest on 'Law & Order: SVU' Season 14 Premiere (Exclusive)
The former "Criminal Minds" star returns to television in the two-hour episode as a staffer from the District Attorney's office.

Paget Brewster's break from TV won't be a long one. The actress, who departed the role of Emily Prentiss after 125 episodes on Criminal Minds, will appear in the season premiere of Law & Order: SVU.

Set for Wednesday, Sept. 26, the two-hour opener for the NBC series' 14th run features Brewster playing the head of the Public Integrity Unit at the District Attorney's office. She'll be tasked with handling the case against Captain Cragen (Dann Florek), under suspicion of murder after waking up beside a dead women in the recent finale.

Coooooooool! Most definitely watching even though I haven't watched SVU in awhile. Can't wait to see her pretty face and I hope we get set pictures!

I love SVU, so excited for this. I know some are like, another crime/drama, I thought she left CM to get away from that, but IMO I think leaving CM was more about portraying other characters.

Me too! Were you able to listen to the podcast interview? Paget discusses her decision to leave CM. She's very open and honest and I just loved it. Although I felt really bad for her. She was put in a really crappy situation.

based on what actors on tv are being paid , she has been on TV CM so long she made enough to be able to sit back wait for the right job for her.

That's pretty much what she says in the interview. She says she lives in a normal house, drives a 10 year old PT Cruiser; she's save all her money so she can afford to try new things. She says after playing the same character for years, she's ready to learn how to act again.

I heard and watched it the video but only heard one mention of Crminal minds ,when the female reporter was talking about having a gun and did gun police training . She and Paget talking types of guns and paget went into emily mode saying that a small gun bullet right thru head, bigger gun bullet rattles around the brian.
