Charlie’s Angels Gets Reboot From ABC The classic ’70s show Charlie’s Angels is being revived and a pilot is close to being ordered thanks to ABC. Set to exec produce (via Variety) is Drew Barrymore, Josh Friedman, Leonard Goldberg and Drew’s Flower Films production company partner Nancy Juvonen (the wife of Jimmy Fallon). Friedman recently adapted the Terminator franchise for his Fox series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Goldberg was one of the original Charlie’s Angels producers and helped launch the series with Aaron Spelling in 1976. Barrymore starred in and produced the 2000 film version and its sequel. They both look like they are having a great time. They are adorable together—laughing and joking and flirting. While they are at the bar, Serena and Nate begin to reminisce about the time they hooked up at a wedding (which was addressed in one of the first episodes of the series). Nate even confesses to Serena that he tried to tell her that he loved her at the masquerade party (first season), but ended up accidentally telling Jenny instead. Serena seems surprised, yet flattered by Nate’s confession and it looks like the two are about to have a repeat of the Shepard wedding (Nate leans in for a kiss), when Tripp walks into the bar and interrupts them. Tripp called Nate earlier in the night to tell him that he found out Maureen was the one who set him up (the whole fake-hero, diving into a lake rescue thing). Tripp is furious at his wife and doesn’t know what he wants to do about the situation. He calls Nate for advice and Nate tells Tripp not to do anything rash. Nate then proceeds to lie to Serena about the phone call because it is obvious that he has feelings for Serena. I honestly am rooting for Serena and Nate and I think it is only a matter of time before they get together. It was nice to see Nate to involved with the rest of the cast this season and I hope it stays that way in upcoming episodes.
