Gah, this episode rocks. I just want to reach in the screen and hold Spencer and never let go.

ETA: Ok, now that it's over I can leave a proper review. I come from a small Texas town and I hate to say that they did a pretty good job of showing how athletics can control a whole town and is the source of pride for many parents. Seriously the parents came to every practice even when their kids had already graduated or weren't even in high school yet. Every friday night the entire down shut down to go to the games.

I was fortunate to cheer for our football team and be in the "in" crowd, but I wasn't blind to all the perks. Every football player always passed every class(alot of the dumb or lazy ones seemed to always make a 70). I skipped classes left and right for "practice" or to make signs for the team, whatever lame reason I and others got away with. I was dating a football player too and we would literally walk out of school in front of teachers and principals in the middle of the day with not even a flinch.

The school even made us serve the players a steak dinner every Friday before the games in our uniforms(with the shortest skirts ever). We had to bake cookies and make sure they were happy.

All our history teachers were coaches and during football season all we did was book exercises as they worked out plays on the board. There was alot of resent towards us by other kids and looking back I can't blame them.

I wasn't cruel to others like some of friends, but I was guilty of looking the other way and I regret that now. But all in all I respected how CM handled this episode and showed how much of outcasts kids in TX and similiar states just because they aren't on the team and how hazing goes on BIG TIME.

I hope this episode speaks to people, though when your a teenager, hardly anything gets through.

I like you Cath grew up in a small town, but in MO not TX. Howver sports reigned supreme there as well. I was a cheerleader as well but my class was actually pretty tight. We had our issues but for the most part we were close. Teachers still comment on how close we were. That being said we did receive certain perks. My dad was a prominent community member and was on the school board so I got away with stuff all the time. I was an office aide for 3 hours a day when I was a senior and would frequently leave. I would even go get the administartors lunch out somewhere. I did see how other kids especially non athletes and underclassmen were treated. I will admit as a senior cheerleader we did do some minor hazing and looking back it is all very silly, but then it was run of the mill.
This episode did a great job of showing the effects of those situations can have on someone.

I felt that in a lot of ways Reid felt bad because in some ways he overcame what that kid could not. He also saw how close he could have been to going the other way. The scene between Morgan/Reid was very poignant. It helped Reid to see he someone as "studly" as Morgan having ot overcome what he did.

I cannot get over how amazing MGG was tonight. I just couldnt tear my eyes from him because he brought so much to the scenes and sucked me in completely. Very touching and amzing work. The scene at the end when he was talking to Hotch put tears in my eyes. Just beautiful.

I was disappointed by the lack of Garcia and that there was no Morgan/Garcia but I understand why.

JJ and especially Prentiss were wonderful with how they handled the girl.

One of my favorite things was the use of Johnny Cash. I am a fan.

The fact that they used the NIN remake of Hurt that Johnny Cash did was a brilliant move and a wonderful way to use a great song. A WIN all the way around with that.

Just a wonderful episode.

My God!!!! The episode was AMAZING!!

MGG STOLE the freaking show. I felt SO bad for Reid and I loved how they tied his personal history to the case. He saw what he could have turned into. Just a sobering mirror to look into. Plus, I loved how they brought his drug addiction back. I'm kind of surprised because the producers said they weren't doing it anymore. GAH! Love the continuity.

I spy you Michael Ironside!

I also loved the Hotch/Reid interaction. Hotch is going through so much and he totally understands where Reid is coming from, but I understand why he warned him like he did. Reid is normally so rationally minded and he seriously could have compromised everything...but nobody's perfect and things worked out okay.

Morgan/Reid was too I love their big brother/little brother dynamic.

It was sad Garcia was hardly in the episode, but he presence always manages to light up even the bleakest of circumstances.

JJ/Prentiss were awesome too. I loved how they worked together as well.

This episode was seriously so great. Just 10/10! I was tearing up at the end, but who wasn't, I'm sure!!!

No new episode next week. BOO!

PS: Loved the Johnny Cash.

I was so an aid too. That was the best and you got to look in other people's files.

I so agree his acting blew me away, my heart broke for him and I agree the lack of Garcia blew. I just love her so.

I adore Johnny Cash too and NIN, it was a brilliant use, I def agree.

This show just rocks in their CODAs.

Holy cow, I'm shocked, I had absolutely no idea those sterotypes and facts were so common - and true! Knowing me, if I had went to HS over there, I'd have gotten into maaaajor problems That kind of favoristism is the sort of thing that drives me nuts, but you gotta learn how to deal with it. It happens everywhere, not only in high school.

Yup, I could totally relate to Reid. Of course, nothing THAT bad happened to me in HS, but I was still bullied.

OMG Ana you will die. Hotch/Reid is AMAZING.

Susan-Whose ass do I have to kick?

Ana_ See I was in concert choir and did that stuff as well as cheerleading so I had all types of people I hung with. In fact have the guys in choir played football, but people were still bullied. It sucks and I never did it to anyone on purpose but I still let it slide. It bugs me but you learn.

Cath- I was so the worst at looking at files. I know way too much.

Don't worry. It was because of those bullies that I'm now a second degree black belt in karate. People got really afraid of me after that.
