Leonie and I have been discussing this, and we think that it may be time to close this board. Our post counts have been declining over the past few months and we have very few regular posters. As you know, Fan Forum requires that we average at least 15 posts per day, with lower numbers than that leading to warnings and then possible closure of the board. We would prefer to go out under our own terms rather than be forced to close due to low post counts.

Please let us know what you think. We'd be glad to hear any suggestions or advice to renew interest here. Remember that to keep the board going, we need the commitment of a few regular, dedicated posters. As much as we love this board, please don't just post to "save" the board and then disappear again, because we'll be in the same position that we're in now if you do.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly, Leonie and I love this board and Carrie. However, it has become more of a chore for us to post, and we do not have a lot of posters to keep the board going. Personally, I have been modding this board for 6 years and have enjoyed every minute of it, but I just don't have the time to commit anymore to posting on a regular basis. This has always been my fun little board, but lately, it just hasn't been as fun. We would rather go out on our own terms instead of being forced to close due to low post counts. No I know its been a long time since I was a regular poster here & I don't have the time to post here but I love that this board exists if I do want to post about Carrie. She's such a wonderful artists & person & I love that there's a board here for her. Then is The Champion a single for an upcoming album as it'd be a shame if it is & to lose the board if you may be getting a new album soon.

Anyway I support whatever decision you make, its an awful decision to make. It just made me really sad to see this board come up as one of the possible closures & I really hope you can find a way to stick around

Chelle I know it sucks, Carrie does deserve a board here, it broke my heart making this thread. It is especially hard because one of my other boards has one of these threads up too. But the reality is, I would be stepping down regardless and Leonie would have had to close the board after I left due to there being not enough regular posters. Someone would have to step up to mod the board in order to save it. It is bad timing, The Champion isn't a single for a upcoming album but she is in the studio right now working on a new album, I would imagine it will come out later this year. It would suck to lose another music board too.

I thought I had seen she was working on an album but that's a shame about The Champion just being a random song. That means it could be even longer before new music (not that music necessarily will help the board, but its at least something)

I don't know what the situation of the board is but boards can keep going with solo mods & limited posters. There's also plenty of people who could help out & if you needed posts just let me know & I'd be here in a heartbeat . I wouldn't wish modding a quiet on anyone of course, especially alone, I know how that is & its painful at times. Its completely up to you but you could see what happens as an alternative, idk. That'd be up to what Leonie feels comfortable with doing

I hate the idea of there not being a Carrie board anymore as well....but on the other hand... I am not feeling much for staying a mod here any longer.
Like Carmen says, it feels like an obligation to post here and life is getting pretty busy.

I do appreciate your help Chelle but I personally would find it a relief to have just 1 board left to mod

Sorry if I confused you Chelle, but like Leo said, both of us would be stepping down. Someone new would need to step in to save the board.

Awwe, I'd be really sad if Carrie's board closed. She is one of my favorite artists of all time. I've not been the best poster here I know, mainly due to other obligations here. Though it's always fun posting on the board. And being part of MST, I couldn't mod another board unless I left MST or gave up one of my other boards. I'd do that for Carrie!

I do understand where you both are coming from though. Fan Forum definitely isn't as active as it once was.

Glad you stopped by CeCe If anyone wants to step up to mod the board, please by all means let us know, either post here if you are comfortable doing that or PM myself, Leo, or Jerry. That would make me so happy to see this board being saved, even though I can't mod it anymore it would still be painful to see it close.

My heart is definitely leaning towards leaving MST for Carrie. I'll PM Jerry. It would also give me time to devote to this board.

I'd say put a mod opening up & see what happens then. If you get no one then you have your answer on if the board should close

That’s what I suggest too. It’s not easy campaigning to get boards added so feel if there is interest at all, we should give it a chance!

A mod opening at least gives the board a chance to see what happens . Then Cece's already shown interest in stepping up as a mod. I'm interested in this board sticking around but I can't (& won't) make any promises about what I can do to help with the posting here, but I'll see what I can do as I'd hate to see this board closed
