It was. It was towards the end when they mentioned that Garth Brooks would be presenting the award for Entertainer of the Year and Brad said that they could name the baby Garth.

They did. It was intentional. Carrie acted like she was upset he revealed the baby's gender, but I am pretty sure they did on it purpose to announce the baby's gender to the world, in a fun way.
