A Virginia Andrews thread!! Great idea

I also loved her books (actually I still do) I have to admit the Casteel Series was my favourite. With the obvious reason being Troy of course

My favorite series is the Dollanganger series. I also really enjoyed My Sweet Audrina. I thought Flowers in the Attic the movie was awful though.

That's a shame because she is really quite good She has a great way of writing - very visual.

Oh my....it's been a long time since I have read a book by V.C. Andrews. My mom read the books all the time. I think the only series I read was the Cutler Series. And I remember really enjoying them.

Well I stopped reading her after she died. And yes I know that sounds funny! The Dawn series was her daughter and then they sold the name to some guy who writes them now. But the earlier books were good

Me too. Troy! I still re-read the Casteel and Dollanganger books sometimes, but I don't really like any of the series the ghostwriter wrote completely on his own. I was going to go to the same writing school he went to, until I found out he went there.

Yeah I'd think twice too.

His books lacked the depth that Virginia Andrews always seemed to give them. I found with V.C Andrews the characters were either good or evil you know? They didn't have any shades of grey

(I didn't think she had any children either )

Does anyone remember when the GW first started writing he would copy scenes from Virginia's past books?

I don't remember exact scenes but I remember the scenarios

One story that I think was awesome without a need for a series was My Sweet Audrina. I that book

I loved that book too! But my favourite would be Dark Angel and Flowers in the Attic

Oh and Troy! He was drool worthy. How can anyone possibly write a character like that? He was perfect

Yeah..I didn't know she had kids!

Jess- You gotta check out her books...twisted but GOOD!

I think of all of them...I like MSA, Dollanger, Cutler, Casteel and Landry.

I think the Logan series and the Runaways were the last ones I read

I held onto both "Butterfly" and "Ice" because I remember loving them when I read them. I'll probably read them again someday.
