yep, and I tried to think of which ones book newsletters STILL talk about/promote. Which ones are put on lists.
I like how you gave reasons with your list.

Thanks.

Before social media and fandoms what decided which book became classics?

No, not a lot of 2000 books; mostly older ones.
What's next week?

April 5: Freebie (come up with your own topic!)

Well, I should be able to do something with this.

Book sales?

Freebies are always my least favorite. I'll have to look at past topics to help.

Yea, but also maybe reader reviews and word mouth so the sales continue through the years.

And it being a story about the social commentary for the time. Like a time capsule.
So it gets taught in school as a history lesson.

yea, the books have to have staying power and being relative to a certain point in time helps.

I think my freebie will be books I've read but don't remember a lot about.

Don't worry about the day Tuesday. That is just for an alliteration.

That is the same for me about books I read before I started blogging and posting on Goodreads.

The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold - I remember more about the movie.

Books I Really Liked but Can’t Remember Anything/Much About

1) Adventure of the Hunt Sisters by Elisabeth Robinson. I remember I laughed and cried a lot. And there was something about one of the sisters producing a movie adaptation of Don Quixote with Robin Williams.

2) The Future Homemakers of America by Laurie Graham.
I can't even remember how long ago I read this. It was before I started keeping track of the books I read so perhaps it's been about 15 years.

3) Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden.
I remember it was very poetic. I think I remember more about the movie than the book.

4) Outbound Flight by Timothy Zahn. I remember Obi-Wan and Anakin were in it.

5) Alliegance by Timothy Zahn. I just want to do a reread of all of Zahn's Star Wars books.

What I do remember is that the murderer was killed by an icicle AND the sister snuck into his house when he was out.

Will you re-read the books on your list?
