Dark spruce forest frowned on either side the frozen waterway; The trees had been stripped by a recent wind of their white covering of frost, and they seemed to lean towards each other, black and ominous, in the fading light.

She almost has it. Call Of The Wild was 1903. This was a little later.

I never read a Jack London book. I'm bad. My dad likes him.

Again- I think it was on a school reading list. We read all of these while you did Hamlet.

Perhaps- but I know nothing about Shakespeare.
I never get anything right when that category is on Jeopardy.

White Fang?

In junior high I read

Where the Red Fern Grows
Night by Eli Wiesel
and Beowulf which I didn't even understand.

In high school I read:
The Catcher in the Rye
Things Fall Apart
Julius Cesare
The Pearl
Nectar in a Sieve
The Pigman
The Lord of the Flies
Stories by Poe
A Separate Piece
The Diary of Anne Frank
Night (again)
The Crucible
The Scarlett Letter
The Red Badge of Courage
The Great Gatsby
Death of a Salesman
The Glass Menagerie
A Farewell to Arms
Macbeth
Being There
The Stranger
Othello
Frankenstien

I went to a technical school for college and took only one or two English class so I read
King Lear
Othello (again)
Hedda Gabbler
Emily Dickensen poems
