I've bought a fair amount of books in the past year and since I've been living on a university campus... now it's time to go home. And there's just no way I can get all of them on a plane to take them home. But even so, the only books I've managed to get myself to give away are Beautiful Creatures, which I really didn't enjoy and a Spanish edition of Bitterblue. I mean, I don't even speak Spanish, but I still had a hard time giving that away.

Yeah, I definitely have a book hoarding collecting issue. Books just make me happy. Knowing that I own a copy of a book, even one I'm never going to read again, just makes me happy. And sometimes, if I really like a book, I'm not happy with just having one copy. I want all the editions. Because... issues. But it's one of the few things I really indulge in. And there are far worse things to waste money and space on than books.

I am so glad I only bought Beautiful Creatures as an ebook. It was ok, but if I had a hard copy I would have definitely try to sell or donate it.

I have friends who have gone to San Diego Comic Con and mailed books home. They spent a lot of money doing that, but how can a book collector say no

I have found that when I do give away books that afterwards I don't have remorse or regrets, so I must be doing a good job of weeding out the books that didn't mean much to me.

There's a little bookstore by mom mother's house that does trade ins for books. I tend to usually bring old books there so I can get discounts on books I'd like from the store.

Today I rearranged my bookcases, gave some books away I don't read anymore, so I have more space for books I do read. I bagged them up and put them out the front of my building with "free books" on them. I figure someone will take them.

Just some books that I wouldn't re-read, or didn't like or are years old that I don't still love.

I have such a hard time giving away books. Even the ones I probably won't read again. Don't know why, but ughhh, I just can't do it.
