Yes I'm on that site too archive of our own that is and actually you can moderate the guest reviews on fanfiction,net it's what I do because of the flaming I've gotten in the past and yes a lot of the guests are definitely rude!! and even ones who are registered too it doesn't just go to the guests.

Yes, it's problematic when people feel they have the right to be so rude. Its one thing to give constructive criticism, but another to outright bully someone.

Plus, if they don't like what you're writing, then simply, don't read it!

Yeah exactly!! but see they still read it even if they don't like it just say horrible things about it especially on fanfiction.net because mostly over there it's teenagers that write stories not adults. I've never gotten flamed on archive of our own..thank goodness..yet.

Yeah it is easier to post stories on ff.net then it is on ao3 but I've gotten the hang of posting on archive of our own now so it's not too hard and I love that we can use a lot of tags on there unlike ff.net which you can only have I believe 5 character names on there.

Well mine finished at 12 chapters, and is almost 50K in words. Not too long but has a beginning, middle and an end.

well I'm working on chapter 16 of my fanfic I've re posted it online again decided that haters is always gonna hate so and I've blocked most of them and so far so good with no flaming so far..so glad I still have a few fans that love it.

Oh interesting. I find it easier to upload on AO3. It’s easier to edit too.

I noticed that people don’t review my story much anymore. I’ll get notices that people favored it or are following it. But reviews... I am lucky to get one in depth review and another is just “good. Please update.”

So I just write for myself since I don’t get much feedback

I used to have an account on AO3, but I don't anymore because I was getting harassed by someone on there about my story so now I just have it on two sites.

aw I'm sorry you don't get many reviews for your story I don't either unfortunately but I'm not surprised because my couple isn't that popular. I agree with you about A03 it is definitely easier to edit.

I guess people these days don't want to put the effort into a review and rather just press a "kudos" button.
