No, Chris had asked in the board guide thread whether there was one, and I did say she could make it herself.. but since she hadn't responded, I felt I could do it.

Yeah And obviously there are independant brands like Sony and kobo and probably a few others I'm not thinking of.

I guess you can include the ipad too.
My sister got an off brand e reader last year. I think it came from Sears or JcPennys. I forget the name of it but the store you get the books from was BN. But it didn't have all the things a Nook has. __________________

Then don't get an ipad
You better make up your mind. Think about the uses you will use it for, and why you want it. |

I was never very interested in the ipad. It's like a mini touch computer. But I hate surfing the internet and typing on touch. I just asked him that just to see what he says since they start at like $500.
I think I'm decided on the Nook tablet. Even when I wasn't interested in an ereader I still wanted the Nook. I looked up a bunch of Kindle vs Nook reviews, and while most of the reviews tend to say Kindle is better reading about each one of them I think Nook is better. From what I read you can't put books you brought from stores besides Amazon on Kindle where you can do that with the Nook. __________________

At first I thought I had decided on Nook Color. But in the end chose to go with the tablet.
Battery life: 8 hours vs 11.5 hours Memory 5,000 books vs 10,000 (which I can't even imagine having 5,000 ebooks to begin with ) And I think the screen is brighter and faster. Now I'm counting down the days. Not because I'm excited for my b day (which I'm kind of am) but bc I'm more excited to get a Nook. __________________
