Dystopian books #1: because Dystopia, [and Utopia] is the new vampires.

Discuss your favourite Utopia/Dystopia books here and let us know what knew books you have come across.

What is it about this genre that appeals to you?

It's referring to how at one point the whole world was vampire crazed. Like how vampires was the big thing, now it's Dystopia. Like the saying Black is the new pink, etc.

I need to read more from this genre.

I have several books I'm looking forward to reading, can we make a list in the OP of some popular dytopia books to check out?

Much better

I haven't really read that many dystopia, but I do enjoy the genre. I think Mockingjay turned me off of it, though. So that's probably why I haven't picked up much since

Oh, well there are all sorts of amazing different novels in this genres.

You shouldn't let one book put you off from the entire genre.

Oh it won't last, but sometimes you just have to read other things to get your mind off of whatever.

I think it's helped that the dystopias I read since were more geared toward adults and not the emo-teen stuff

Yeah, I know. Sometimes it does take awhile to get over something before you can read something in the same genre. But there are so many great books out there, even YA ones that are amazing.

Like, I loved Shatter Me recently And there seems to be more and more Dystopian novels coming out nowadays.

Do you guys have any adult dystopias to recommend? I've read a lot of the YA ones.
