The Dark Tower novels by Stephen King

The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.

The desert was the apotheosis of all deserts, huge, standing to the
sky for what might have been parsecs in all directions.
White, blinding, waterless; without feature save for the faint, cloudy
haze of the mountains which sketched themselves on the horizon
and the devil-grass which brought sweet dreams, nightmares,
death. An occasional tombstone sign pointed the way, for once the
drifted track that cut its way through the thick crust of alkali had
been a highway, and coaches had followed it.

The world had moved on since then. The world had emptied.

This is for everyone who loves Stephen King's magnum opus, "The Dark Tower" vol. 1-7 ..

I personally am inlove with the story, especially the characters that are so intense, to say the least. Who else here loves DT?

So, yeah, I don't know anything about the Dark Tower books. They look interesting though. What are they about?

It's about a gunslinger's (and his group's) journey to find the Dark Tower, which will basically save their world.
The story is inspired by a poem by Robert Browning "Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came / Lord of the Rings / Westerns.
Here's the overview.

You really must!
It's different from all of King's work.
