People just get so competitive during in person cons. It's scary.

I never went there and I would be like please can someone just get me out of here if it's my first time..

It is very overwhelming if it's your first time.

And especially if you don't do well in crowds.

But with experience you master the lines and the system.

Yea. I have a friend who hates crowds and hates waiting on lines. She has decided she is not going to conventions anymore because she just doesn't have the patience for them.

Wanting ARCs is what keeps me going.

It's addictive. The rush of getting an ARC, or a signed copy, and photo ops - that is why I go to conventions.

I am just annoyed because some people won 3 or 4 and some didn't win anything.

It's like the algorithm needed to be fixed to at lease have everyone who entered win at least one giveaway.
