What was your favorite series?
I liked California Diaries and the Super Specials, but really just read whatever I could get my hands on.

Has anyone seen the Netflix series? Is that out already?

I won't be watching the series. I just am a bad stream watcher.

I loved the Super Specials as a kid. I know my copy of the one where they go on a cruise is all worn out I loved it so much.

I've watched it and I really enjoyed it. It's a modern remake. I've not seen the older show because they didn't air where I lived, so I can't compare. But I'm a big fan of the books, and I thought the Netflix show was well done. I liked the more diverse casting as well.

I still haven't see it..

I loved the remake (and also really liked the 1990's movie :) ). I thought they did a good job of updating the cast - as said above...it's very diverse but it still feels like original Kristy, Dawn, Mary-Anne, Claudia, etc. (Jessie and Mallory even show up!) I am excited for the 2nd season...hopefully they are able to film it

Dawn didn't feel like Dawn to me... :no: I know they were wanting to be diverse with her character, but for the 10 episodes I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that Dawn wasn't a pale, sunshine blonde girl. A minor detail, but it bothered me. :lol:

Anyway, I have officially finished reading the original BSC series (including the 15 Super Specials!) and have started reading the Friends Forever series that takes place right after, leading up to their graduation day that has been 15 years in the making! :lol:

So they did eventually graduate! :lol:
