Well, I guess I don't know if there was ever actually plans for that to be a storyline, but I was guessing they were wanting to do that, but then changed Ash's character. I think Ash is kinda different in the Pilot in general, she's not really the party girl the opening scene would have one think, and the ~stain on the shirt scene. That scene was cut from the original broadcast, and I'm guessing it's because they have her with a long term boyfriend that she's faithful to in later episodes, so that scene doesn't make sense.

Casey wasn't lying in 409 when she tells Ash that being president was transformative for her. That, combined with Rusty being there to be her ~Jiminy Cricket really helped to change her into a better person, and it's so awesome to see that happen over the course of the show.

And wow, that was supposed to be that SHE got they from HIM.

I've just rewatched the pilot, so many emotions!

The beginning of Rusty/Casey!

Funny, nerdy Dale!

Heath&Calvin!

Frannie

Spitter!
A nickname was born!

Rustry dressed up as a girl

KT rush!

Douché Evan. Good to see things have improved over the years.

CC
Who said it's over?

IT WAS SO NOT OVER!

My internet has been acting up so I haven't been able to watch the whole pilot, boo.

Ironically, one of my favorite scenes of the pilot is the one that was only in the first airing - the Casey/Evan "we're even" scene. Casey was almost ... chilling in that moment. I don't know, it always struck me and Spencer was so good in it.

And of course all of the Rusty/Casey goodness! My bbs. <3

I adore that scene, and so glad it's on the DVDs. Spencer nails that scene, and Evan's confusion/realization, and then her switching back to happy. Perfect.

ugh that scene, so good. Chilling is the perfect word for it. the way she says sweetie and then the look on her face...Spencer and Jake definitely played it perfectly. I've loved CC since the pilot and I've never been a big Evan fan, but C/E had some of the most intense scenes in the series, for sure.

Another moment that stands out is when Rusty tells Casey about Evan/Rebecca. I was so glad Rusty told her, even when they weren't close yet he put their relationship above something really important to him, getting into a frat, and refused to lie to her. And again, spencer's acting was really good. Especially later when she finds out it was Rebecca, the way her voice breaks /=

I was like "WAY TO GO CASE!"

And I loved the fact that she didn't even need to say who she had been with.
It was obvious it was Cap

Awesome! Haha, oh Rusty, so naive and innocent.

Anyway, I watched 102 this afternoon, and the end Casey/Rusty scene is one of my favs of their's, so good. I honestly don't know why, and this is just sad, but every time Casey recites the definition of an amalgam, after Rusty says she doesn't know what that is, I just want to cry. WHY? Idgi, but it's true.

Aw, Brit. I watched this one not long ago, but will totally be watching it again, and that moment made me feel all mushy, too. ADORABLE.
