Digby is played by two canine actors , Orion and Orbit . Orbit previously appeared in Bryan Fuller's Dead Like Me as J.D..

Digby is Ned's Golden Retriever, who was run over by a truck and killed when Ned was nine years old. Digby was the first living creature to be brought back to life by Ned, who discovered his gift by touching Digby.
Digby, who is now seemingly immortal, has been alive for 19 years since his death and has shown no signs of aging, but Ned can never touch him again or he will die forever.

Ned loves his dog, but he has to use a fake hand made of wood to pet Digby. Luckily, Digby has Olive who showers him with affection and lets him on the furniture.

Digby helped Ned with one of the cases. In the episode Bitches , Ned takes Digby to a therapy session , but to protect their identity Ned says he is Mr. Digby and Digby is Ned.

Mr. Digby:" Ned and I have been together for a very long time. We’re intimate, but it’s the appropriate level of canine-human intimacy."

He's such a great part of the show.

Loved the scene when Olive and Vivian where singing in the car and Digby and Lily just look at each other like saying, "Oh brother"

Maria - I love the opening.

Digby is the perfect dog. I'm such a dog person, even though I don't have on. He was so cute under the sheet, and he's so smart, too, knowing that he can't touch Ned.

Aw this is such a great idea for a thread! Thank you for opening it. I've mentioned it before, but I'll say it once again. The two dogs that play Digby are just gorgeous. They're such adorable dogs!

I love how Olive takes care of him and even lets him sleep with her. So cute!

I loved how he was watching Olive jump up and down and up and down and up and fall on the floor.

He also sort of followed the conversation in the restaurant booth. My dogs are definitely not that well trained.

Heck, my big dog (70+ pounds) tried to hide behind me at the vet's today and all he was there for was his bortotella vaccine and to get his nails cut.
