I think Kitty deep down knew how Hyde felt for awhile. She wouldn't have called him out on it in season 3 if she hadn't.

But Kitty was obviously happy with Hyde's relationship with Jackie, and they bonded over their love for him.

Yeah, and I wish we'd gotten more of that in the middle of season 7. Maybe it would kept "Winter" from happening.

Jackie and Hyde should've been super-happy together during S7's Christmas ep. No breakups. Tension, conflict, and humor can be written for a couple whose relationship is healthy and thriving, too.

I feel like so many writers forget about that or are unable to do it. All these random break ups just to create drama are annoying.

They are. Red and Kitty never divorced, and their relationship continued to develop while being funny (at least for the first four seasons).

Jackie and Hyde could've moved in together at the end of season 7. Instead of pushing for an engagement, Jackie could've pushed for a deeper commitment. Of course, she was supposedly going to college (but the writers didn't bother to keep that in mind -- or graduate her from high school in season 6

). Also, not sure about how "taboo" moving in with one's boyfriend/girlfriend was in the late '70s.

They could have created conflict with them without all that breakup crap. Having them move in together could cause conflict in itself and have some great storylines.

Yeah, like Hyde and Jackie figuring out how to divide household duties, although one would think she learned how to do chores while living with Bob and Donna (but we never got to see that -- or see Donna do chores, in general).

I can see Hyde teaching Jackie a lot for some reason. Especially cooking.
