The best part, imo, is that Jackie doesn't flat-out reject the idea of making out with Hyde. Yeah, it's mostly about her ego, but it's also proof she doesn't find him unattractive.

JACKIE: Yeah, there’s a lot of things about Steven that I used to not like -- but now I really like. Like, well, I thought his pork-chop sideburns were a sign that he was poor and dirty and living in a shack. But then ... but then I realized that Elvis had sideburns, and he lived in Graceland. Well, that was an eye-opener.

I wonder just when she had that realization.

"Christmas" is a really good one for them, as individuals and as a couple (ignoring Hyde's OOC bit with Fez). I wish we could've seen Hyde and Jackie's convo after she rejected the cheer squad's re-acceptance of her. Guess I'll be doing that in the comics.

When I watched the whole series together, I was disappointed with Hyde's Christmas Rager and An Eric Forman Christmas. They were good episodes, but The Best Christmas Ever was such a classic, as were the Halloween episodes, that those two weren't nearly as good as the other holiday episodes. But when I saw Christmas, I loved it! It's almost as good as The Best Christmas Ever in my opinion. It was great episode for not only Jackie and Hyde but for Kelso! I was really enjoying his character arc in season six, only for his character to regress in season seven.

I feel the same way, "Christmas" was not just a good episode for Jackie/Hyde it was a good episode overall. I loved Kelso going to the library to spend time with Brooke.

Oh, yeah! Kelso went through some huge character growth in "Christmas". This is the trajectory he should've stayed on during season 7, but the writers regressed him back to maintain the "status quo". Lame, lame, lame.

I like "An Eric Forman Christmas". And here are some reasons why:
  • Eric directing the Christmas pageant
  • And his friends trying to get all their -- imaginative but inappropriate -- ideas in.
  • Eric getting fired for just sitting in on a circle but not partaking.
  • Leo being the conscious of the group.
  • Kelso's space wise man.
  • Jackie and Hyde being Mary and Joseph (unintentional Zen)!
  • Jackie wanting to "wrap the Dave" with Hyde (more unintentional Zen!) instead of watching a children's special with Kelso.
  • Kelso's self-insertion Rankin/Bass dream
  • Hyde "lighting the Dave".

Yeah they did that to Kelso a lot. They would often develop his character a bit and then regress it. In Ski Trip, he learns that cheating on Jackie with Pam Macy was wrong but later cheats on her with Laurie. In season 3, I didn't mind Kelso and Jackie getting back together because for the rest of season 3, he seemed like a really good boyfriend and actually seemed to have learned from it (as highlighted in Backstage Pass), only for him to turn back into the same Kelso in season 4.

Lisa, I love an Eric Forman Christmas for all those reasons too.

That's a great episode for J/H. It really shows how much Jackie has grown as a person. Plus Hyde was hot in that episode
