Classic Comics Saturday
--- Those ’70s Comics: 287 Inspired by episode 410 - “Red & Stacy” --- Comments: Today’s comic gives Jackie’s snide remark toward Rhonda a subtext that keeps the complexity of Jackie’s character intact. Yes, Jackie can be insulting and narcissistic, but she’s also compassionate and tries to help those she believes she can help. Often on the show, her put-downs are mixed with good intentions and follow-through on those intentions. So when Jackie tells Rhonda to learn some jokes – because her “looking pretty” is, in Jackie’s judgmental estimation, a possibly unreachable goal – Jackie actually tries to help Rhonda be funny in order to impress Fez. I also added some Zen (of course). Continuing to bridge the gap between Jackie and Hyde’s S1-S3 relationship and their S5-S7 relationship. __________________

--- Those ’70s Comics: 288 Inspired by episode 410 - “Red & Stacy” --- Comments: Today’s comic continues where yesterday’s left off. It also makes Fez’s spying on the girls from their closets part of his character earlier – an aspect I’ll parody later in the comics and transform into something less problematic, thanks to his relationship with Laurie. __________________

Inspired by episode 609 - "Young Man Blues" --- Colleen, Kelso's got a creative imagination. It's too bad he never used it for the greater good. __________________

--- Those ’70s Comics: 289 Inspired by episode 410 - “Red & Stacy” --- Comments: Eric is a dichotomous character. He consistently tries to prove how manly and mature he is, but he clings to his childhood toys, and his somewhat immature nature often emerges – ironically – when he believes his maturity is being challenged. The comics sometimes exaggerate this dichotomy of Eric’s in order to highlight it. --- Colleen, ain't they, though? __________________

--- Those ’70s Comics: 290 Inspired by episode 410 - “Red & Stacy” --- Comments: Had a little fun with Red’s zombie nightmares. Put in a reference to “Water Tower” (121), too. __________________
