It would've been a nice touch if either Donna or Jackie had a poster of Heart on their bedroom wall. Since the 2 women in the band are a redhead & a brunette.

That could be interesting. However I am not sure I would want that because maybe Jackie and Hyde would have not gotten together when they did.

Donna was going to take the bus (or a series of buses) to California before Kelso offered to drive her. So they could go that route. Or they could take Jackie's Lincoln.

That would've been a cool group for them to have in common. Man, missed opportunity for a fantasy sequence of them as a Heart-like band, especially when they decide during a circle to form the Sandy Sandals.

That's true. It makes me curious how J/H would've happened had Jackie gone to California with Donna.

I think Jackie and Hyde still would have gotten together, they were meant to happen.


I think though, Donna and Jackie on a road trip would be fun and interesting.

They seem like they might strain their friendship if they spent an extended amount of time together exclusively. They don't seem built the way maybe Hyde/Leo, Kelso/Fez are to not get on eachothers nerves. They kinda seem to operate on a default girl-friend level than on something comperable to a platonic version of Eric/Buddy. For closer friends I'd almost pair off Donna with Rhonda & Jackie with maybe Amy Adams' character.

I do, too. I just wonder how it would've happened had it not happened that summer. It has fanfic potential.

Yeah. Even when they get into spats, they still manage to get along well enough.

They managed to do fine sharing one room for over two years of Point Place Time (tm), so I think they'd mostly have fun. Get into their usual disagreements about this and that but make up easily. On the show, their worst moment is in "Bring It On Home," when Jackie feels humiliated by Donna inviting Jackie to stay at her house in front of so many people -- and how Donna does it.

Donna and Jackie have a lot of good times together on the show. For all their differences, they connect with each other well. They look out for each other and become best friends, and although the show quit developing that friendship properly in the later seasons, the foundation is still there.

I completely forgot that Jackie moved in with her. I remember her getting caught sleeping in the Forman's basement, but I can't remember seeing Jackie & Donna's living arrangement that much. I'll keep it in mind on next viewing.

I like that Jackie and Donna became close, it's a friendship I would hope continue over time.

Maybe if Jackie and Donna's friendship had continued to develop, Donna would've been a better friend to Jackie during season 7 and helped Jackie and Hyde see their relationship more clearly.

And season 7 would've been so much better for it. Good character development while the characters remain in-character.
