In the birthday thread, a comment Lulu made made me wonder what might happen had Red and Eric's birthdays been close in the same month.
If they were only a few days apart, this could've made for a funny episode. Maybe Eric's friends and Kitty plan on throwing Eric and Red different surprise parties on the same day, and the guest lists get mixed up. Eric would be stuck at a party with Bob and whoever else Kitty invited, and Red would have all of Eric's friends to contend with. __________________

Kitty's Diary Entry: #15*
The Sun Is In Red's Heart. Dear Diary, I'm just as pleased as punch about Red owning his own business. It's like he bought a time machine, not a muffler shop. He’s practically changed back to the happy-go-lucky man I married. He even has a spring in his step. It’s not a spring that a layman could see. In fact, I'm the only one qualified to notice any of the changes, but trust me, they’re there. Like the other day when Red finished the paper, he folded it up, put it on the counter, and walked away without shaking his head in disappointment. He hasn't finished the paper without shaking his head in disappointment in over twenty years. And as if that weren’t enough, I heard him whistling while he put salt in the water softener. I mean it wasn't "Singing in the Rain" or anything, but it wasn’t a funeral dirge either. I guess he's just really enjoying life. He’s even enjoying food more. I made macaroni and cheese last night, and I always knew he liked my macaroni and cheese, but now I know he loves it. He made yummy sounds with almost every bite. I don’t think he even realized it, but I heard more mmm, mmm, mmms than Andy Griffith says in his Ritz Cracker commercial. I’m just giddy about this turn of events, so I don't want anything to happen that might change Red back. The thing most likely to do that would be Eric's friends, and since I can’t very well lock them out of the house, I’ll just keep the macaroni and cheese flowing and hope for the best. --- That ‘70s Show diary entries copyright The Carsey-Werner Company, LLC and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, LLC. --- *Title of diary entry and the song Kitty references were changed by me due to the originals referencing racist content (likely unknowingly by the diary entry's author). The changes do not alter the meaning of the diary entry and are still time-period appropriate choices for Kitty to make. __________________

Kitty's Diary Entry: #16
Where art thou, Romeo Forman? Well, Valentine’s day 1979 with my very own Mr. Cassanova was truly exquisite, let me tell you. It started with an extravagant breakfast in bed of caviar pancakes and lobster bacon, followed by a sensual two-hour cocoa butter massage accompanied by the soothing sounds of Jose Feliciano on the hi-fi. Red even pumiced my corns. Then my Romeo spared no expense and wrapped me in the most beautiful mink coat, got down on his good knee, and pledged himself to me for another lifetime of wedded bliss! Oh, diary, I’m lying. This Valentine’s Day was just like every other disappointing Valentine’s Day for the last decade. A Hallmark card (at least this year he remembered to sign it) and one measly flower. Not a romantic one from a store either; he just ripped it out of my backyard flowerbed, thorns and all. Eric, Michael, and Steven, meanwhile, gave their girlfriends wonderful Valentine’s Days filled with love. Now, I’m not sure exactly what they did, but I know Eric got out of the house, which says a lot. And Steven took Jackie shopping and got her exactly what she wanted. And Michael took Angie to The Hub for a romantic lunch. Even Bob got the lady at the dry cleaners a Dean Martin record. But, y’know, Bob doesn’t even know the dry cleaner lady’s name. I think he’s just trying to buy a date with her or, at least, get a deal on cleaning his polyester shirts. And I don’t think Steven would go to the mall unless Jackie threatened him. Michael just told Angie the hamburger he was eating was a Valentine’s hamburger. And actually, I think Eric got out of the house because Donna yelled up to his window, "It’s Valentine’s Day -- I hope you didn’t forget!" He threw on clothes and ran out of the house so fast. All these boys are either following orders or trying to get something unmentionable out of their women. But I never have to remind Red or threaten him, and he never expects anything. Every year, without fail, Red always gives me a sweet little card and a beautiful flower. Oh, he’s so romantic!! --- That ‘70s Show diary entries copyright The Carsey-Werner Company, LLC and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, LLC. __________________

They were far more prolific during the first five seasons, though. __________________
