As for BW as I said I liked it, now I remember little of the original but this one is much better and mature. I'm thinking they'll have more background as the show goes on.

SP was so crap, they need to do so much better.

I was thinking that too. But I hate flashbacks with a passion ala Lost style. But anyway I'll keep watching BW.

Hello fellow ABW posters

My feeling was mixed on this one (Pilot)...

To get the negs out - as usual, all new US dramas are contractually obliged to feature gratuitous gore and violence plus gun-toting morons galore. I really could have done without that.

That aside, it was otherwise fairly enjoyable. The characterisation was good, somewhat steretyped in places. The dialogue was a little clipped so maybe the performers couldn't shine thru their characters enough...

Luckily the exception to this was Michelle Ryan in the title role. She effortlessly transcended her banal lines and imbued the character with emotion and realism. That single tear in the hospital bed spoke volumes.
