Do you remember someone on tumblr that wrote amazing and long posts about CB? I can't remember the name of the tumblr :lol:

Good! She was so sweet! Unfortunately I don't think she writes anymore since the show is over. And others I have mentioned also the same... I think most active one is blairhappiness but she is not writing that much anymore too. Wish we had their essays in our life still. Miss them.

The girl Juliana was looking for is one of the bests. Because, she is a sucker for love stories.. DBers on some forum suggests her to watch GG just for DB and that she will see that DB is endgame and a love story bla bla bla. and that she should just watch DB scenes even (so that she'd die from boredome and disgust in her stomach) :lol: :lmao: So... she watches GG and she falls in love CB as expected ;) and she wrote about it over and over that how someone can ever think DB is something worth even watching and obviously they didn't get GG at all and how its all Chuck and Blair and their amazing love story. Of course we welcomed her with a huge hug :hug: :love:

I am always on the hunt for a great love story. Feeling in need for some romance at the beginning of the year, I asked for suggestions from a message board (a couple MB no less but our couple has been dead for years, lol) for recommendations. Members at this board, who I tend to sail with, recommended Gossip Girl because of Dair. Because I wanted to watch a great love unfold, I decided to give GG a try.

It was recommended that I only watch the Dair clips; however, I like to look at everything as a whole and not just one aspect. Therefore, I embarked on my journey from S1E1 to what I thought would lead me to Dair; however, as the journey began I soon realized that my ship would not take me to Dair and that the current I was following lead to only one thing, Chuck and Blair.

I must admit I was not an initial fan of S1E7 (Victor and Victoria). I was sort of mad at Blair for getting intimate with Nate’s best friend not too long after they broke up. Plus, I sort of did not like Chuck when it came to women. When running a marathon viewing, the events of E1 with Serena and Jenny are still very fresh on the mind. However, all that changed in the next episode, Seventeen Candles (one of my favorite C&B episodes). I was thinking of buying with credit card in hand after Chuck and Blair’s first scene with her walking and him in the limo. Their post-sex banter was priceless and I realized how much I loved their dynamic. However, I was sold after their conversation outside at her party. Gosh, I can quote that scene from memory. There is so much goodness that overflows from that one scene, I could write and essay on it alone. I will quote a little of it now.

Blair: You sound like a jealous boyfriend.

Chuck: You wish.

Blair: No. You wish. (pause) Wait. Do you…like me?

Chuck: Define like.

When Chuck said “define like” my inner fangirl was awakened and I knew it was the start of something special. Since that point, my heart has felt so much joy and so much pain because of Chuck and Blair. Although their romance has been one crazy ride, I would not change one thing about it. All the hurt and pain of S1-2 led to a mostly blissful S3. All the hurt and pain of the end of S3-5 will hopefully result in an even more blissful S6.

I cannot wait to share more thoughts on Chuck and Blair.

I've heard a couple of people say that's how they were introduced to CB -- told to watch GG for Dair and ended up being a Chair shipper. I always think it's an interesting perspective since Dair was built up as an OTP for them whereas I went in knowing nothing.

see, I don't see how you can start watching GG and not ship CB. Like, how can that happen? I admit that I kinda shipped DB back in S1 and S2, and now I find NB cute and I shipped BL, but.......CB are IT. They are the full story; the journey, the destination...the everything.

Just 2-3 days ago on twitter I witnessed some of DBers telling things that never happened but telling those like canon. Its very screwed...
