No problem.

I'm not so sure about the "It will lose her anger" line... I think after multiple listens, you start to hear what you think it is, rather than what's actually there. If anyone wants to throw their two cents in on that line, it's at ~1:37 in the song.

Oh, everything was updated with the 1x09 info, and the Sofia J song from 1x06, sorry for the delay guys!

I heard that both "three wishes" and "secret" by the Pierces will be in this epi I'm so happy. Every since I saw the promo of 1X10 I started to love The pierces, I listen to them all the day over at their myspace.

And thank you for the Lyrics I've been looking for it everywhere

It's great how people are really starting to love certain artists because of the show I've heard so much buzz about The Virgins, The Bravery, The Pierces, among others

Sorry for the double post guys, but this was an interesting article to me about the music on the show

Quote:
'Gossip Girl' soundtrack loaded with indie cred
Tyrone Warner, CTV.ca

Having the perfect soundtrack with blog-worthy bands are essential to building authenticity when courting audiences -- especially in-the-know teens.

By mixing in obscure artists with well known acts, a fresh-sounding musical backdrop can invigorate a show and draw in fans.

"Gossip Girl," which airs in Canada on CTV, is no exception.

Josh Schwartz, the creator of "The O.C.," took this to heart when he created his first show and saturated the series with music and references to his favourite artists.

Schwartz single-handedly made Death Cab for Cutie a household name thanks to the rampant name-checking by lead character Seth Cohen. Eventually the band was even invited to perform on the show.

As "The O.C." grew in popularity, it became a place for bands to get heard, and because of the quality of the music, raised the "cool factor" of the show.

Schwartz recently turned his attention to "Gossip Girl," a series about wealthy socialite teens on New York City's Upper East Side.

When the pilot for "Gossip Girl" hit the air, the show's soundtrack was more varied than any Schwartz had produced before, mixing in mainstream pop like Fergie with "indie" acts like the Cold War Kids.

While Schwartz is the executive producer of "Gossip Girl," credit for artist selection goes to Alexandra Patsavas, the music supervisor behind the soundtracks for "The O.C." and "Grey's Anatomy."

Bands to watch

New York blog "Stereogum" has been following the show, and as one of the net's premiere tastemakers, predicted one of their favourite NYC bands would end up on the show.

That particular act is NYC rock band, the Virgins, who had five songs featured in episode eight ("Sixteen Candles").

"The Virgins were a perfect fit; stylish music made by stylish kids in the vein of the Strokes. It's the sort of music that show's characters would feel comfortable embracing, supporting, and seeing in a LES (Lower East Side) rock club," says "Stereogum" Associate-Editor-In-Chief Amrit Singh.

Singh suggests other bands on Patsavas' radar may include locals Sam Champion, Yeasayer, Bishop Allen, the Big Sleep, and the XYZ Affair.

"I'd keep my ears peeled for something with a little electro sleaze given the show's libidinous debauchery, and something warmer for the more wholesome scenes, like that awesome new Mystery Jets single "Flakes,"" says Singh.

Into the mainstream

While at one point "indie" bands may have shunned any hit of commercialism or the mainstream, they now seem to be embracing the exposure provided by shows like "Gossip Girl" and "Grey's Anatomy."

"The model for music dissemination and reaching audiences has evolved to the point that, in many cases, it's 'get on TV, then get radio play,' which is a complete inversion of how it was a few years ago," says Singh.

"And honestly it makes sense; who is turning to radio to inform their listening? No one with discerning tastes -- those play lists are narrow and, generally, least common denominator."

Singh is also apt to point out that an artist's reputation has never really been damaged by having their music used, or even performing on a show like "Gossip Girl."

"It's up to the band; at this point, audiences are beginning to expect TV exposure, and certainly seem to be embracing it," says Singh.

Keeping their wits

The most surreal collision of mainstream teen drama and underground music occurred when the Flaming Lips performed on "Beverly Hills 90210." In 1993, the band was enjoying a bout of success with their song "She Don't Use Jelly," when they were invited on the show.

Since then, the Flaming Lips have gone on to release two of the most critically acclaimed albums of the past decade, "The Soft Bulletin" in 1999 and "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" in 2002.

Death Cab for Cutie, post "The O.C" appearance, are still growing and producing creatively and commercially fruitful records.

"A band like Death Cab has graduated far beyond the confines of any one event or teen show of which it's been a part, simply by persevering, writing good material, keeping their wits and their integrity about them," say Singh.

For a complete listing of which artists appear in each episode of "Gossip Girl," CTV.ca has all the details here.

"Gossip Girl" airs Tuesday nights on CTV. Check your local listings for details.

thanks for adding me
