"They truely are star crossed lovers even though they look like a fairytale on the outside, I think thats why I like them so much they really define true love to me.
In my opinion love isnt this fluffy thing where everything is perfect love is the ability to fight when things get really crappy and thats what Nate and Blair seem to do, fight for each other.

Chestnut, lustrous curls shimmer bright and warm as the sunlight above that spills radiantly down illuminating brown eyes - large as a doe's and just as beautiful - all sweetness and innocence and soft youth. The young girl beams, a brightness to match the peal of that giggling laughter that bursts from her, as she exclaims, holding tight to the swing, "Higher, Nate!"

The boy behind her laughs in response, pushing her higher, faster, until it feels like she is truly flying and she screams in glee, causing the boy to laugh more, his wide blue eyes dancing as he pushes her again and again, watching her small bare legs kick, then...

...those big blue eyes widen, this time in shock as he watches Blair fly from the swing, falling into a soft mound of grass.

"Uh oh!" He runs up to her, bending down in the grass. "Oh no... did I hurt you?" He reaches out, touching her hair and her cheek with the tenderly clumsy fingers of naive youth. She peers up at him from behind a dark lock of hair and rolls onto her back, gazing quizzically up at him, a small sphinx smile on her pretty doll-like face.

Nate gazes back at her, blinking, confused at the smile on her face, still afraid he's hurt her and that she'll tell her parents... or worse his parents that he hurt her, but then, as she just... smiles, he tilts his head and grins crookedly as he snuggles down in the grass beside her, his messy head nestled against hers as he gazes up at the clouds lazily drifting overhead. "I'm sorry, Blair," he says earnestly then as he rolls over onto his side and grins again at her, idly playing with a curl of her hair. "I didn't mean to push you so hard."

Smiling at the memory of swing sets and sunshine and warm breezes and fresh clean grass - an oasis of green in the steel and iron city, Blair Waldorf shakes her head, rolling her eyes as she sighs, murmuring, her fingers tracing the edges of the childhood photos. She sets the album down and shakes her head. "You've always pushed me too hard, Nate, and I always forgive you...

She sighs then, a wry smile curling her lush lips. "I wonder why that is?" She laughs to herself, murmuring. "Nevermind. I know why. It's because, even now, when you push me, you make me feel like I'm flying."

And he does - the constant whirlwind of emotions that spins through her - love and frustration, annoyance and amusement, concern and tenderness - a tangled swirling of feeling that no one else evokes in her. All her life it seems he's been behind her, pushing her higher, faster, harder, making her laugh in joy and love, sending her soaring, then the reality burns through as she topples to the ground only to find Nate is back again, contrite, sweet, comforting.

The words of their argument the night before haunt her. "Don't push me, Nate!"

Yet, something inside her screams - "Push me! Higher! Make me feel that power, that strength, make me fly!"

She gazes at the flowers on the table - Nate's contrite apology written in his familiar script, the words simple but sweet, much like him, and she laughs a little, long elegant fingers caressing over the blooms. Finally, she sighs and picks up her cell phone.

She relaxes back against the sofa and calls him, and at the sound of that deep, rich, sleep-husky voice - as warm and soothing as the softest blanket, she smiles. "Nate, the flowers are lovely. Thank you."

"Good... I mean, you're welcome. I'm glad you like them..." He pauses then, chewing on his lip as he rolls onto his back, pushing one hand back through tangled hair as he stares up at the ceiling. "Hey, Blair, listen, uhm... I'm sorry. It's just I... I'm really sorry, Sweetheart..."

She considers making him wait for it, but as she hears the catch in his breath, she relents with a sigh. "Apology accepted. What time will you be picking me up for breakfast?"

Sitting up, he grins in relief and rubs the sleep from drowsy blue eyes, pushing a hand back through his sleep-mussed hair again as he glances at the clock beside his bed. "Um... 45 minutes? Just need to jump in the shower first."

"Alright. Come on up when you get here and we'll walk down together." Glancing out the window at the cottony clouds soaring overhead beneath the bright sun, she smiles. "You know what... on second thought, why don't we have Dorota pack us a light breakfast and we'll have it in the park?"

Nate grins, stretching his long sleek body against the soft bedsheets. "Okay, sure. Whatever you want. That sounds good though. I'll see you in just a bit."

And now, Blair thinks to herself, 11 years later and again, she is experiencing that exhilerating rush of sweet sensation, the wind in her dark hair, the breeze cool against rosy cheeks and bare legs, the sound of infectious bright laughter behind her encompassing her, warming her, as she soars higher and higher, laughing with girlish glee.

"Higher, Nate!"

With another laugh, he pushes her again, running out to the side of the swing as he grins - that handsome face alight with the radiance of the sun, the light of his love burning in those blue, blue eyes - as blue as the crisp sky above them.

"Blair!"

He holds out his arms to her and, with a laugh and a leap, she tumbles from the swing into his waiting arms and he wraps her in a tight, warm, safe embrace, falling back against the soft grass, laughing as he strokes through the tangled chestnut curls of her hair and brushes his lips against her smooth temple.

"You caught me," she whispers against his neck, her lips caressing the soft skin there.

"I'll always catch you, Sweetheart."

"You push me too hard," Blair murmurs.

"So did I, Blair... and besides, like I said, I'll always catch you. I won't let you fall."

She hugs him tighter and laughs softly, tracing her finger against the broad chest. "I fell years ago, Nate."

"But I have you now."

"And you had me then, too," she whispers almost inaudibly, then with a sly grin on her pretty doll face, she raises up slightly and rolls atop him, her hands tangling in his sun-dappled hair as she gazes down into those long-lashed bright eyes. "And... I have YOU, too, as well, Nate Archibald."

Nate laughs - the sound warm, vibrant and sunny as the skies radiant above them and he nods, a dimpled grin spreading over his boyish face. "Yeah, you do." He winks then, murmuring, his voice soft and husky, "Always have... always will."

Blair's ripe, perfect cherry lips curl then into a teasing, almost coquettish smile, a smile that Nate longs to taste, and so he does, rising up on his elbows, his lips sliding warm, satiny and sweet against those soft, lush lips, his own smile melting against hers as he wraps his arms tightly around her, sinking back down into the soft grass, deepening their kiss...

Sunlight falls in glittering arcs of golden light across the beautiful boy as he sits at the table, fresh paper spread before him, a pen poised in his hand as he absently chews on his bottom lip, lost in concentration.

He muses, sighing softly, shaking his head, blue eyes grown dreamy and contemplative as he lets his thoughts linger on the girl he loves, seeing in his mind the waves of her dark silken hair, her shining chocolate-velvet eyes and the luscious ruby of her lips... and he smiles.

Nodding to himself, he exhales gustily, tapping his pen nervously against the paper for a moment, trying to think how to begin... how to begin spilling the secrets of his heart – something he is unaccustomed to and uncomfortable with – truth be known. Yet, deep within the well of his own psyche he knows what he needs to do. He feels it in his gut. He needs to do this to secure his love, to secure his future, to be the man he needs to be, to be the man Blair needs him to be, the man she has always wanted him to be and, at one time, believed him to be... the man he knows he can be, if only she will give him another chance.

And so he lifts the pen and smiles a little to himself at how strange and surreal this seems – this sudden desire to express himself, to let Blair know exactly how he feels...

Blair,

I've been working this out in my head – what I wanted to say to you – for some time now, but it's funny how something in your head seems so different when you commit it to paper. It never comes out how you want it to sound, but still... it's important to say, and so, okay, I'm going to try this.

Blair, the thing is... I miss you. I miss us.

It's like a whole part of my life is missing when you're not there. You're such a part of me and my life now that not having you in it is like missing an arm, or no,... actually, it's like missing my heart. I know I've never been overly demonstrative with you – never letting you know how I truly feel, and I'm sorry about that. It's just, well, that's the way I am, and I'm not trying to make excuses because I know that's not a good way to be - to keep everything inside, but it's the only way I know how to be. It's like I have all these thoughts in my head but I never know how to express them because it's too much, and so I just bottle them up inside me, trying to just deal with things, deal with my feelings all on my own.

The thing is though, I want to change. That's why I'm writing you this. I want to be the man you need me to be because you deserve that. I know you need me to tell you how I feel.

So... how I feel... okay, I feel love, Blair. I love you. I've never told you that enough. I guess I just always assumed that you knew it because you've always been able to see into me like no one else, but I know I should have told you more often. I know you need to hear it and I'm sorry for not saying it every time I feel it which is every day, every moment, because I do love you. I always have, Blair. You're so beautiful, so elegant and classy, and you're strong – stronger than you give yourself credit for – and you're so honest, so unafraid of being who you are. I look at you, the way you go after things and try to make things work, and you never give up, and I really admire that, and I don't think I've ever told you that, but I do.

I think one reason I admire that is because I give up way too easily. If things get hard, I just step off. I don't need the stress. I've always been cool with that... until now. And... now, I can't give up on us, Blair, I just can't. I know it'll be hard but I want to work at it. I swear I do. I want to be with you. I need to be with you.

I know I'm asking you to forgive me for a lot. Blair, I'm so sorry for hurting you. I was weak and gave into temptation and it was really wrong of me. All I can do is tell you that I'm truly sorry. It won't happen again because it's you I love. You're the girl I want to be with, the girl I want to give my heart to, Blair... just you.

Please tell me that we can at least try to work things out, that we can try to be together again. I love you so much and I miss you and I need you.

What do you think it is about Nate and Blair that makes them so different and genuine?

For me, it's really the fact that they've been together their entire lives. They clearly know each other really well, and usually on television, they don't want you rooting for the "original" couple. Marissa/Luke, Nathan/Peyton, etc. On this show, though they initially may have gone in that direction, it quickly became obvious that the two were really in love. They go through real relationship issues, and it's not always perfect, but even when they're fighting, you can see the hurt in their eyes, you can see the love they feel for each other. Whether or not they're the couple the producers have in mind as "endgame", it's obvious they'll never really be over.

What do you think it is about Nate and Blair that makes them so different and genuine?

For me, Nate/Blair are about this amazing love story of two souls who's been the love of each other's lives since they were kids. Like Blair knew that Nate would be the one even as a child. It just stands out because it's not unrealistic but actually makes sense. They love each other with their whole hearts and do so much for each other. Even if things aren't always sunshine and roses, they make sure to stay close to the other, just in case they might need each other. They've been through so much, and yet still care so much. I think that just says it all. Love that last that long is very true and genuine.

What do you think NB brings to the show Gossip Girl that makes them different and intriguing?

Nate and Blair bring the idealistic and complexity of their relationship.
It’s not the redundant “boy falls for girl, girl falls for boy” story.
It’s so much more that sometimes words just can’t explain it.
They have their ups and down, they have their speed bumps.
It's the fact their love can triumph over it.
It’s the fact that it is spoken and made clear off by how they act when they are together.
You see them together and you can’t help but go like “Wow!” because it’s inside every one of us to react this way.

Describe a scene that you'd love to see happen between NB.

Nate does love Blair. It’s always been there.
If he sees her happy with someone he’ll surely be jealous, but he’d back off because that is what he’s willing to do; to let Blair have her happiness.
However, eventually Nate’s own sheer guilt of keeping his feelings locked up will start eating him alive. I want a scene, in the pouring rain (which isn’t a dream/nightmare) where BN are arguing and Blair keeps telling Nate why he can’t be happy for her and he would tell her that all he wants is for her to be happy. He’d tell her how he feels, that he loves her and more importantly, he hasn’t stopped loving her.
And then they would kiss, a hot, steamy, angsty kiss, where the rain is scalding down their backs. But it would matter because Nate has Blair and Blair has Nate.

What do you think NB stands for?

To me, NB stand for “Nothing Better” because hey, what is better than two people that have had so much angst, history and love in their life?
I don’t think there is any force on Earth that could separate these two from each other.
They will always find their way back together in the end because what is meant to happen, will happen.

I would love for Blair to get mad at Nate and starts walking away,and it starts raining, and then Nate walk the other way but then he remember all the time they spent together and starts knowing that she's the only girl he's ever loved and goes running after her.Nate screams her name and when she turns around he tells her that she's the only girl he would ever love no matter what, and then they have an extremly hot makeout scene in the rain and then one thing leads to another and they wake up together very happy.

With Nate and Blair you have a couple that would be so perfect together if they would only let each other be that person. You have here a case of star crossed lovers doomed by their inability to see what is in front of them all along. These two people have known each other so long yet still know each other so little. Their relationship is a convoluted one, constantly interrupted and fractured with mistakes on both sides. But that’s what makes them different, they can spend the rest of their lifetime truly discovering one another…and that is the deepest love of all.

I think that NB brings a different dynamic to the show.
They're this so called perfect couple that started dating at a really young age.
They have an incredibly long history together and the thing is that it all hasn't been peaches and cream. They have issues like regular people and they have gone through many ups and down throughout the years. However, in the midst of it all you could tell that they really love and care for one another. They have this fairytale aspect that makes you want to root for them. What girl wouldn't want to end up with her childhood sweetheart?
The first season has been brutal but I feel like NB has so much potential and so much to offer. They balance each other out and I believe that Nate and Blair said goodbye to one another without wanting to.It doesn't mean that they have stopped loving or caring about one another. But Sometimes when you say goodbye, it's a painful way to say I love you. I think they have this sad romance going on right now. They love each other but the circumstances at the moment really are keeping them apart. I truly believe that these two need time apart for the moment and during that time, they will grow and come back together as an even stronger couple. I know that if written better they could be EPIC!!!
I mean come on! He's her prince and she's his princess. It cannot get much better than that!

Describe a scene that you'd love to see happen between NB.

Okay. So Nate and Blair are walking along the beach and the setting is eerily romantic. The sun is setting, the sky is a beautiful orange, purplish color, and the two of them take a seat in the sand. Like the friends that they used to be, they start talking openly about anything and everything, losing track of time until the sky is darker and the stars shine bright. Blair inches closer to Nate as the weather gets chillier and in a totally cliche way, they brush hands. They look into each other's eyes and then stare at the beautiful horizon. It's then that they open up and have a wonderful heart to heart about how they've grown since they have been apart and how they are still in love with each other. Nate takes the initiative and apologizes to Blair about everything, forgives her, promises to be a better boyfriend, and then gives her a kiss that sets off fireowkrs behind her closed eyes. Then, of course, they end the night together hehe.

What do you think NB brings to the show Gossip Girl that makes them different and intriguing?

What makes NB unique is their history. I know they are long-time friends with other characters too, but theirs is special because at a young age they experienced love. While others may argue, theirs is a sort of "puppy love", the fact that they grew up together, makes a world of difference. They know each other inside and out, when two people grow up together, sometimes words are not even needed... they just know what the other is thinking, what the other feels. And while the show decided to ignore their long history, and at times even 'rewrote' it to promote other couples instead, this history of NB can never be denied. Some may want to, but it just can't be denied. And whether this history is shown onscreen or not, it IS there. And true GG fans know it. Of course, it doesn't hurt at all that the actors playing N and B have the most amazing chemistry. Best among the cast, IMHO.

Describe a scene that you'd love to see happen between NB.

First, I want them to be written 'fairly'. Not like a couple who became one because of parental urging and a son's obligation. (N and B are not even written half as good as in the books. Although it is okay to 'explore' other relationships differently from the books... TPTB do not have to change it altogether! The ways things are going... all that's coming from the books are their character's names and nothing else. I digress.) I want NB to be a couple again, i want to see them happy and so in love. But in order for that to happen, i think they have to become better friends first... i.e. better than how they have been portrayed to be in the show. I think that is the first step to being a couple again. In this show that has a lot of permutations for 'coupledom', i believe NB deserves a fighting chance. I pray they get it.

NB stands for Neverending Bond. Theirs is a bond that can withstand a deluge of beating from naysayers.

What do you think NB brings to the show Gossip Girl that makes them different and intriguing?

I think that the fact that they've known each other for almost their entire life is amazing. That's so sweet. In my opinion, the show didn't really portrayed that well, they introduced them as THE couple of the UES - the two people that were meant to be -, but during the season they were never "in peace." Always fighting, hurting each other. They had incredible moments though.
NB could bring a lot to the show, I truly think they could have been the DS of the show if they were written in another way.

Describe a scene that you'd love to see happen between NB.

I'm a sucker for the books, so any scene from the books would please me. But since the show doesn't follow the books I would love to see flashbacks. I would like to see when they were happy, young and innocent. When he gave her the ring.
If I had to choose a scene right now, I would like to see the building of a friendship in season two, they have to hang out, have fun. It'll be hard at first, but it'd be really great if they could at least talk, and laugh together in the Hamptons with their mutual friends. How I would love that.

What do you think NB brings to the show Gossip Girl that makes them different and intriguing?

There's so much unexplored territory when it comes to these two. The viewers have heard all about this amazing history they've had, yet these type of things haven't been shown really. Nate and Blair have this imperfect fairytale that you just want to see play out and pull through. They've both made mistakes, but that's something that they can grow from - individually and together. Something about the two of them just screams meant to be and that's hard to ignore. You root for these two because they just feel right together, even among all the wrong.

Describe a scene that you'd love to see happen between NB.

I'd really love to see them put all their issues aside and start over as real friends. You know they were at some point before everything became so crazy and hectic, and I would just really like to see them being friends and being there for each other. So I'm cheating and putting a second one. Being able to see each of them realize that they miss each other and want to try and be together again would be amazing. After they've tested other waters and done their own things, seeing them find their way back to one another is something I hope we get to see.

Well they honestly are just rubbish they try and try to make things work but other stuff and there own problems get in the way which is why I love them because thats what love is its not always perfect you have to fight and be strong to keep relationships going.

Any friendship/romantic scene would do it for me CL just have the most delicate chemistry it makes every scene really exciting to watch.
