Beverly Hills 90210 - Board Recustomization

Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customisation process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Mel, Catia or Chelle a PM or ask the Team on the message board customisation thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

I really like the picture in your current banner. I presume the cast will remain the same, but would you like a different picture or to keep using one like you've got now?

Perhaps you'd like more individual pictures instead? I know that there's pictures here but maybe you know of another or a better site to find pictures on?

How about colours? Would you like to keep similar colours to what you have now or go with something different?

Selfishly, color wise, I'd love we matched the original board colors jut because all the OP's on the board go with it.

And of course, I think the original cast should be in banner.

What were the original colours?

Was it green & blue? If your OPs matched a certain background colour in the posting areas (which I'm guessing they did looking at the Bandits thread) we no longer do coloured posting areas so that won't be changed back. We can however work with a green & blue colour scheme like you previously had

The Graphics Team has a deadline of April 15 to complete all graphics for your board. We rely on feedback from the board to create a graphic and colour scheme which will best suit the wishes and needs of the posters on the board. It is also preferable to have plenty of time for us to accommodate your wishes in our graphics making. It would be most appreciated if you could discuss and share with us what you'd like to see on the board in this thread to help us create your new customisation. Without any input from you we will assume that you prefer to leave it all to the discretion of the Graphics Team.

We prefer not to use group shots, because we want

to have a unique look. Do you like any of the individual photos Chelle linked above?

There is one thing I had in mind:
I'm thinking if you have the actual Beverly Hills 90210 logo with the pictures of the cast members on the top of the BH90210 board - that is one suggestion that would be good. It will probably look neat as well, if that is all possible

I do like some of them. I would love it if there would be Brenda, Kelly, Donna, Valerie,Clare, Andrea, Dylan, David, Brandon and Steve in the banner that would be great. It doesn`t matter much if the season pictures of them are from differnet seasons but I prefer Kelly with longer hair.

If you could link to individual pictures of each character so we know who is who that'd be most appreciated

Not everyone on the team is familiar with the show so may not know all the characters

What do you mean by that? The graphic/image will be in the same place as it is now as the layout won't change just the image & colours

. Unfortunately the pictures of Kelly and Brandon may not be usable as they are cut off on the side, but it does provide the team with a reference point if they do need to pick another picture. The picture of Andrea is not usable at all as her head is cut off at the top. There's a couple of others which are odd angles which may be difficult for the team to use, but again those pictures provide a reference point so that the team can know who each of the characters are and the sort of pictures/look you want to see for each of them. Ideally we prefer to have full body shots as it gives us more to work with but unfortunately this show doesn't have that for all the characters.

I know I'm looking at group pictures now & we do prefer individual ones but simply for the full length of the pictures does this have all the right characters? I don't know how usable it'd be, but it at least provides an alternative with the full bodies.

Sure you can choose another picture from Andrea (from another season).
Kelly Season 1-4 looked the best IMO with her long hair so I think there will be a suitable picture. Brandon looks good in every season. Brenda looked wonderful in every season she was. Clare looked the best in Season 6 and 7. (she left after Season 7)
Those pictures I posted were for orientation so you know who is who.
Yeah full body shoots are difficult to find for every character.
But I`m sure you guys can do that.
The picture you posted doesn`t have Valerie and Clare in it because the picture is from Season 1 (David Silver first on the left had a little shorter hair in Season 2) and the guy first on the right was Davids friend Scott and the actor left in Season 2.

I agree about Kelly with long hair. I particularly loved her hair in Season 3, but not sure if it would be easy tracking any solo pics down.

I personally love the blue, but the green is nice as well.
