Thanks Rachel! I love Season 7 too. I just watched Senior Week for the first time about an hour ago. Great episode!

You're welcome!

I wanted to fill this out for this season. :)

Favourite episode? Oh gosh, I love so many this season. "Here We Go Again", "A Mate For Life", "Loser Takes All", "Phantom of C.U.", "Face-Off", "We Interrupt This Program", "Heaven Sent", "The Long Goodbye", "Mother's Day" and "Senior Week"
Worst episode? "All That Jazz" wasn't one of my favorites, but I think all the episodes this season were good. :)
Favourite SL? Dick Harrison storyline with Steve/Clare. I really liked those few episodes where Steve was trying to get her back and got the KEG house to start a Rowing team. Also the stalker storyline with Donna. David being diagnosed with manic depression.
Favourite character? Kelly, Steve, Brandon, Clare, Valerie
Character that annoyed you the most? I didn't really care for Kenny Bannerman that much.
Favourite couple? Steve/Clare, Brandon/Kelly and Donna/David all three of my favorites were together in this season. Well Brandon/Kelly got back together, but still. :)
Couple that annoyed you the most? Kelly/Mark. I didn't like Mark much at all.
Best romantic scene? The Steve/Clare scene in the hospital in "A Mate For Life" I ADORE that scene! Also the scene in "Loser Takes All" when they get back together. All three couples scenes in "Heaven Sent" the Donna/David scene at the After Dark, the Steve/Clare scene at the concert and the Brandon/Kelly kiss after the concert. Also the ending scene in "The Long Goodbye"
Best humorous scene? I think the performance that Steve and Donna did at the talent show in "The Long Goodbye" was hilarious!
Best friendship scene? The Brandon/Steve scene in Senior Week is my new favorite. "So how do you do it without a safety net?" "I do have a safety net Steve, my friends. And sure they're frustrating and annoying sometimes, but I don't know what i'd do without them." "What about after we graduate?" "We're graduating from school bro, not from each other." I just really thought that was the best way for them to make up after Steve was upset at Brandon for roasting him. It was just a great scene. Also the Steve/Kelly scene in "Here We Go Again" on the beach. :)
Best angst scene? The scene in "Straight Shooter" where Steve is upset over what happened to Dick and he is sitting in his room about to smoke some pot and Brandon talks to him. Most of "We Interrupt This Program" Kelly/Jimmy & Kelly/David in "Pledging My Love"
Worst scene? Okay, i'm changing this now since i've seen "Graduation Day" Clare leaving was the worst scene for me. I was bawling. :(
Favourite guest star?My favorite guest star was Michael Stoyanov who was Jimmy Gold. I liked those episodes with him and the friendship he had with Kelly. :)

S7 is not my biggest favorite of all 10, but i still love it, and much better than s6 for me. I like the characters and couples a lot more. Okay here we go :D:

Favourite episode? "Here we go again", "Pledging my love" (Heartbreaking scenes with Kelly/Jimmy and Kelly/David but so beautiful and meaningful at the same time), "Lost in Las Vegas", "If i Had A Hammer", "Face Off", "We Interrupt this program", "With this Ring", "Straight Shooter", "The Long Goodbye", "All that Jazz", "Mother's Day" and "Senior Week".
Worst episode? "A Ripe Young Age" with Val/Rob and Donna/David and her grandmother's lovestory, wasn't very interesting to me.
Favourite SL? Kelly doing the volunteer work, and her friendship with Jimmy, David being diagnosed with manic depression, Donna being stalked.
Favourite character? Kelly, Donna, David & Brandon.
Character that annoyed you the most? Kenny and Mark from the guest characters, and Clare from the main cast.
Favourite couple? Donna & David and Kelly & Brandon.
Couple that annoyed you the most? Every couple that involved a guest character, i just didn't really care for those. And sometimes Clare and Steve, because often it seemed Steve couldn't do any good in her eyes. I felt bad for him at times.
Best romantic scene? Absolutely Donna choosing David in "Straight Shooter", she walks off the boat and kisses him in front of her parents and everyone. And Kelly & Brandon in the ending scene of "The Long Goodbye".
Best humorous scene? Kelly and Valerie's scenes when they both have the flu. Especially the part where they tell their version of what they think happened that night with Brandon. So typical
Best friendship scene? Kelly saying goodbye to Jimmy, and David supporting her after that in "Pledging My Love". Donna comforting/supporting David in the hotelroom in "Lost in Las Vegas" after they robbed him. Kelly forgiving Steve for spreading the rumors about her in "Here We Go Again", and Brandon stopping Valerie from killing herself in "Graduation Day".
Best angst scene? Kelly/Jimmy & Kelly/David in "Pledging My Love" ^ Kelly and Brandon talking about their fears involving the pregnancy "Mother's Day", and most scenes of Donna being stalked/David and his manic depression.
Worst scene? I don't know, not one in particular.
Favourite guest star? Michael Stoyanov as Jimmy.

I do like that episode with the Brandon/Kelly/Valerie SL but the Steve/Clare SL was too sad. It was the beginning of the end for them because Kathleen Robertson was getting ready to go.

Yeah the Brandon/Kelly/Valerie storyline in that episode was good, I agree with that, it was just hard for me to watch the Steve/Clare SL. :(

I'm watching Graduation Day and Clare's last scene made me cry. I knew about it and thought I was prepared, but I wasn't. :( I thought the episode was good though, it was a great ending to the season. :)

I still haven't seen Steve and Clare's extended break up scene since it was originally aired since it was cut out of The SoapNet version.

Thanks Jennifer but that's the same version I have. I always thought there was an extended version that last over 10 minutes.

Oh okay, cause it looked like this one was from fox so it was the original version, but I watched it and it was the same as the one I saw on the dvds, so I don't know.

Ok. I was previously told that the DVD version was the extended original cut. Now, I'm all confused.

S7 is definitely my favorite season. But S5 is always close to being my favorite.

How does everyone feel about Donna finally losing her virginity in the final scene? I liked the way they did it. It made it feel special with the right guy. I wouldn't like it as much if it was trashy or in the spur of the moment. I'm glad she had a plan to make it as special as possible.

I hear the SL is what got Larry Mollin and Charles Rosin fired.

classictvfan91 02-15-2011 01:23 AM

Oh really? I didn't know that. I'm confused too.

Yeah it is my favorite season too! Season 5 is a great season as well. :)

I liked the way they did it too, I agree it wouldn't have been as special or romantic if it was just spur of the moment, but the fact that she planned it and everything and surprised him made it really special. :)

Oh wow, really?

Yeah, I read it somewhere. It's in one of these articles but this was the closest I found.

Quote:

Mollin: Yes, that seems right. They should marry. That was always meant to be. That was the big relationship. The last episode I wrote had Donna losing her virginity in the college graduation episode [Episode 7.32, Graduation Day]. I always felt like one of those guys who built the pyramids and you bury yourself inside. You can’t survive after that. ‘Cause I finally did the thing you were never allowed to do: let Tori’s character have sex.

TDW: And that ended up being your last episode!

Mollin: You know, it’s funny. It was kind of endearing for many years. The old man, that’s how he controlled what he considered his daughter. Even though he couldn’t control her in real life because she’d be out there having sex with everybody, he was very concerned about keeping Donna a virgin. And we went with it because it was kind of good; we got lots of good stories out of it. We had lots of “almost”s and stuff. So, at the end, going into it, I went to him and said “Should she go to a priest? How should we play this thing?” and he said “No, just do it.” I always felt pretty good about that scene I wrote there. “How did I get so lucky?” “You waited.” It was kind of nice. It was sweet.

Okay, great! Thanks for sharing! :D

Priscilla. 02-16-2011 12:13 AM

 I read that in Tori's first book indeed, that Aaron couldn't stand seeing his daughter having sex on screen. Thanks for the article Rachel. :D

heyitsrachel 02-16-2011 01:24 AM

Yeah, I think Aaron also had problems with Tori wearing that mermaid outfit.

You're welcome, Priscilla.

To those who haven't read it yet, here are the 3 interviews with Rosin and Mollin that was posted a few months ago. It discusses some of the behind the scenes, characters, problems, the 2 major love triangles, the spinoff, the DVD cut versions, etc.
