Yes there was a pattern there
 It's kinda weird how the show went so brutal on Kelly after season 4. I mean it's just relentless drama for her in seasons 5 and 6  Wonder if Jennie requested more of this crazy stuff for Kelly? __________________

Jennie wanted more bad stuff happen to her but personally I found it really annoying. It just seems to me that all bad things has to happen to Kelly and no one else - I got too much

Yeah it's very similar to how Marissa was treated in THE O.C.
Writers target the main girl for some reason, and usually it's the rich blonde female who audiences are supposed to relate to. It sucked for Kelly because she had been in such a good place in her life when she and Brandon first started dating, but when they broke up, everything went wrong. __________________

For some reason, I couldn't stand Kelly-centric stories after S5 except for the drug storyline

The AIDS storyline was kind of interesting (and daring for this show), but that's more for the season 7 thread obviously.
Also the pregnancy with Brandon (but again, season 7.) The drugs story line allowed Jennie to show more of a flawed and desperate Kelly. I did think it was better than the diet pills story line, which seemed more of an attempt for the writers to guilt-trip Brenda for shutting her out  __________________

I didn't want them to end up together, but I thought they were good together in that story line
 It really displayed the crazy toxicity of addiction.The actor Jason Wiles did a great job with showing Colin downward spiral like that. __________________
