I really love HIMYM S1 - S3 but to me, it was starting to fade fast afterwards. Now, I just want it to end. But I am looking forward to Jason's appearance.

According to this article, it seems like Jason is playing on the flashback characters from Robin's (Robin Sparkles) famous days. If you've seen the 1st few seasons of the show, you'll know who I'm talking about. I don't think Jason would have many lines in this. I REALLY HOPE I'M WRONG!

There are a lot of guest stars in this and I think Jason may be playing himself.

He might but the article says "along with all her famous Canadian friends." There is a possibly that he'll play somebody else....but since Jason is from Canada, I think he may be playing himself.
