I changed my icon from SMG/JM and I can't see this one.:pout:

I adore that pic.:in_love:

I never understood why Iris didn't like Kelly?

I know she loved Brenda but she could have at least give Kelly a chance.

I don't know. Can't handle change?

Or, wait -- threatened that Kelly was watching Dylan come into his own and go through heavy things while she was "on a trek in the Andes". ;) Still love her, though.

I can see your icon just fine.

What I didn't understand about Iris, was how she could be so judgemental about Kelly and not even give her a chance EVEN THOUGH she went all new-age and spiritual and enlightened. She even told Brenda to make amends, but she wasn't even willing to give Kel the benefit of the doubt. i.e. "You're STILL with Kelly?!"

How does the New Age thing factor in? Dylan wasn't really respecting that side of his mother, anyway.

lielabet7 04-04-2008 01:31 PM

True  But to me New-Age stuff is about being non-judgemental about people and situations. But I could be entirely wrong :) Good thing Dylan didn't listen to his mother and was closer to his father ;)

I still can't see my icon!:bawl:

Don't worry Jamie, I can see it and it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL

playgroundDiaries 04-04-2008 01:44 PM

Haha, that's so true, Liesl. He probably saw his mom as a hypocrite there. We already knew for sure that he felt she had misjudged Jack, and perhaps himself as well. I love that Dy's relationship with K hits its stride just as he's opening himself up again ... notably, to his father, whose opinion has always influenced him the most.

I love that too.

It's been hours and I can't see it though.:pout:

I love in that scene the way Dylan looks at Kelly.:sigh:

lielabet7 04-04-2008 02:11 PM

YAY!!! Love the cap :) I love how Jack toasts to Kelly and she says "What did I do?" And Jack says " I don't know what it is, but whatever it is you go right on with it coz I have never seen my son happier." (or something like that) Dylan then says with that 'look' "I know what it is" and then Kel says "Dylan, shut up". Which leads me to believe that they actually slept together before 'Dead End'.

Finally! Mystery somewhat solved. We've debated that a couple times. In "Dead End", we know they have sex cause they talk about it beforehand, but I always figured Kelly stood committed to her word that once they tell Brenda his choice, caution can be thrown to the wind. Thus that couch 'love scene' in the beginning of that ep. Or ... Dylan's referring to the draw of the glorious wait. :P But no, I think this might solve the riddle.

lielabet7 04-04-2008 02:23 PM

It does, COZ the scene when Jack toasts to Kelly etc etc, was AFTER they told Brenda about Dylan's choice and the summer. The couch scene you were referring to was when Iris was arriving and they had ALSO already told Brenda the truth ;)

I'm still not sure.

I don't want their first time to be off screen.:pout:
