I actually think thats EXACTLY what he meant. Because the scene itself is Brenda saying Can't you see me in the role of Maggie...and he says Come to think of it you do remind me of a young liz...minus the 8 marriages...give or take a Richard Burton. I mean...who else would be the Richard Burton? Not Stuart for god sakes lol It didn't last long enough, even though it may have been a world wind romance...they just didn't have the connection to compare it to Liz and Richard. Then Brenda has a shy smile like hehe SMITTEN I think thats the reason he says that. At least thats what I got out of that exchange. He says Give or Take like maybe thats me. We'll see if we get back together a million times LOL

Ok rant about season 9. Dylan comes back, says he "left Brenda" those words exactly 2 years prior. He's been on a mountain...someone dies or some ****. But if you go back 2 years on the series. Brenda is in contact with Brandon regarding Erica. Knowing she disappeared with some stoner surf bum and no one has seen her. How would she know that info. Plus we have the Brenda and Dylan emails telling Brandon and Kelly they will not be attending their wedding but if their honeymoon comes there way to let them know. They'll meet them in Corsica or whatever. Thats end of season 8...Dylan comes back beginning of season 9...which kicks up in real time...after the botched wedding. Brandon leaves...Dylan returns. Not to mention Erica having the London brochure with big ben on it and plane tickets going to live with Dylan in London so please please tell me how Dylan is mountain climbing during all this???? Brenda is the one that talks to Brandon about Erica disappearance. Then Dylan is the one that talks to brandon about Erica going to live with him. So Dylan is living in London without Brenda...highly doubt that. But how can Erica live with him if he is traveling and climbing the K12 or whatever that was Sooooooo LIARS! I don't know what the writers were thinking. They should have known the only people still watching this dumb ass show at the end were were fans. I highly doubt new 90210 fans came about at the end. maybe mid series but only to watch 9/10 I doubt it. Ok rant over...please add if you want. It really really pisses me off!!

Well yes. It was not like we only had Brenda's word to trust that he was there. Brandon was in touch with him too. Apparently Kelly also participated in S8 email exchange. Soo o stupid.

You think? Then why would he say it? Like a slip up? I'm so curious on someone else's opinion because I've thought that since the moment I watched that scene. So interesting. What does everyone think?





I guess the writers thought we were stupid. Obviously we were not. I caught it right away. Probably threw things at my TV you know the usual.

I don't think it was a slip-up. Simply, that role of Maggie the Cat is iconic for Liz Taylor, so he mentioned her, and then Liz was also known for several husbands, especially Burton, so he mentioned him too. Probably once he did he realized there are obvious comparisons between him and Burton, given they were both alcoholics But I don't think he did it on purpose of reminding Brenda of their relationship.

Oh HAHA I get it now. I didn't know Richard Burton was an alcoholic...I did know her character husband or whatever he was is one and thats the basis of that story but I wasn't aware about burton. HAHA! I guess I had a more romantic take

Yeah, Liz and Burton were known for their drunken fights. They were both raging alcoholics.

It would be interesting had Brenda become one with Dylan. I actually think it would have eventually happened had she stayed on the show long enough.

I don't think we've talked about a title yet. But the OP looks beautiful again! YAY!!! I do think eventually Luke Perry should be added to the honorary shippers considering what he said at the convention about Brenda and Dylan being the real deal and his fav couple. That was so recently that it was never one there

Thinking of possible titles. Have we used the Bang heard around the world? Or something like that? We always joke about the BIG BANG...the sex hitting the TV air and quite literally the banging Anyway one the exact quote? Was it The bang heard around the world...Brenda and Dylan have sex for the first time? Crap I forgot.

We have already used "Because their first time was the bang heard around the world".

What we have never used here is, for example, "She saved me from going back to drinking, she saved me from myself." We only used it at Couples forum, like, 10 years ago.
