Guess those cute guest stars and musical appearances from the likes of the Goo Goo Dolls weren’t enough: 90210 will end its five-year run on the CW in May.

While the show launched with some fanfare, the reboot of the ’90s drama on Fox has cowered in the shadow of The Vampire Diaries and Arrow, the CW’s current hits. 90210 has only averaged a .6 rating/2 share in adults 18-49 this season and 1.23 million viewers, according to Nielsen.

The drama will air its series finale on May 13. The show has seven original episodes left to air. The network will likely program a retrospective.

“The CW has had five great seasons with America’s favorite zip code, 90210,” said CW President Mark Pedowitz. “I’d like to thank the talented cast, producers, and crew for all their hard work and dedication to the series. We are very proud of the West Beverly High alumni.”

Thank god its over! You know how much I didn`t like what they did in this Spin-off (they seperated Kelly/Dylan and Donna/David and then Kellys mother died that was so sad and really mean and then some fans complained about Brenda there that she wasn`t like in the Original series...thats really sad too.)
Anyway hopefully they maybe bring on or two old couples from the Original series back together but I doubt it that they`ll do this which is really sad

It was obvious that show would never last as long as the original, wasn' it? And I really hope they don't bring Kelly, Brenda, Donna or ANY or the orginals for the finale. They have nothing to do with wherever the show is at right now and it would only make me hate the spin-off more, lol.

Jason Priestly, who made a name for himself on the original Beverly Hills 90210 (1990-2000) along with Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Luke Perry and Brian Austin Green, tweeted: "Lasted half as long as the original ... Not bad guys..."

On Sunday, the current cast including AnnaLynne McCord, Shenae Grimes, Jessica Stroup, Trevor Donovan and Jessica Lowndes gathered for a wrap party in Los Angeles, complete with bottles of vodka, cupcakes and a DJ booth.

Tweeted McCord: "Thk u 4 all of the spprt 4 so long I'm srry u aren't gtting the proper send off u deserve, but plz kno how much ur luv means 2me!"

Jessica Stroup, who played Erin Silver in the show, said: "Oh Silver, our time has come to an end but you are a part of me forever. Thanks to the fans who have been along for the ride."

The finale is set to air May 13.

Totally Or maybe that's how I want to read it, lol, but anyway, I love what he said especially because of who "Jason Priestley" is. I mean, can someone honestly point put who from the spin-off is his equal in terms of what he represents for the original? Who will be remembered as the Brandon, the Brenda, the Dylan, the Kelly or the Donna of 90210?

AnnaLynne McCord has revealed how the cast of 90210 didn't hear the show was being axed from television bosses - rather on Twitter.

The 25-year-old actress, who plays rich girl Naomo Clark on the CW show, described the moment as a 'shocker,' adding that it 'wasn't cool at all'.

She also said the news was 'emotional' and 'bittersweet,' Life & Style reports.

I'm sorry that the Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise, which I've watched since the beginning, is probably going to end with this spin-off. I'd rather see it conclude with something much, much better.

It may not be Star Trek, but, as a franchise, I think this collection of shows is slightly underrated and overlooked. It's got a long history with some great episodes and great characters.

As for 90210, the only story I really watch is Annie and Liam's. I've said before that I like this pairing about as much as any couple from the original. This story line was in great shape at the end of season 3, but the people behind this show have largely ruined them and wasted a lot of time since then.

I just saw one of my other couples get a happy ending, so I'm really hoping that happens with Annie and Liam too (even if it isn't intended as an ending).

Well, James, I think you're going to get your endgame.

So this is interesting ... Matt Lanter (who plays Liam) and Aimee Teegarden are going to go on to co-star in a new teen drama for the CW called "Oxygen", which is essentially "Roswell 2.0". And, thinking back, Aimee had a guest-star arc on the 90210 spinoff a few years ago. I wonder if Liam was on the show then.
