I don't believe at the time Gretchen had handed LJ over to Lincoln. I believe around ep 6/7when "Sara"'s head was sent to Lincoln.. that was when Sara escaped.
Because i remember Gretchen saying in like Ep1 this season that, it's after she had lost her, when she escaped that is when she had to make up the fact she had killed her.

But that's not the point. I don't believe Sara would have left LJ behind if she knew he was still there. She might have thought, he had been given back or that Gretchen made her believe he wasn't there anymore. It's anyone's guess.

The timeline sorta goes out the window for me once they brought her back. Especially since I never believed they had plans to do so all along.

No way Sara would have stayed in hiding once she escaped if it was at the time Gretchen said. So for me either Gretchen lied about the time Sara escaped or it's another error from the writers about a character who would never have done that.

Does anyone know how long it was by the time Sara supposedly escaped to when we saw Michael driving off looking for revenge?

I ask because we already know that when season 4 picked up that a month had passed since season 3 ended. I refuse to believe that Sara stayed in hiding for that long. Especially if she was with Bennett for a good chunk of that time who could have helped her find Michael.

I know she went through an ordeal and might have needed some time to herself but a month plus without any attempt at finding Michael? I don't buy that. Nor do I buy that she left LJ behind if he was there when she escaped.

The timeline is tricky, it's hard to pin point things.
Well, it was 3 weeks after S3, that S4 started.. and Michael found out that Sara had caught a bus from NM, but we don't know when she caught it..

I think they confused all the timeline and the plotline come s3/s4 with the Sara killing, and her fan-induced return.

If not a timeline error then a character one for sure.

I just don't think Sara would ever stay in hiding for that long without trying to contact Michael. Or help rescue LJ if he was still there.

I suppose she had no way to contact them, she didn't know where he was.. and probably didn't want to risk staying in Panama.

Didn't Bennett help her find him once she was cleared in court? She was on the boat before the guys got there.

I think Bennett would have been able to do so once again.

I just think it was a poor decision on the writers part not to explain better. It left fans wondering whether she left LJ behind or didn't try or want to contact Michael once she was safe.

I think she probs didn't know where Michael was in the first place, after all that had happened.

I just think Bennett could have made phone calls and gotten some answers. If not pinpoint where Michael was find out if he was still in Panama or back in the states.

I just don't like that that much time lapsed without either one trying to locate the other.

I'm certainly not blaming Sara but the writers for making that mistake.

Look how easy it was for Michael to contact Bennett once he learned Sara was still alive. It was obviously the first time they had contact.

I don't know. I'm just thinking about this too much I guess.

Its one thing for Michael to contact Bennett, but its another to the the opposite. I'm not sure how many people know where Michael was in Panama.
