Got t today for 15bucks and watching it right now. Totally loving it. Great job at filling in the blanks and showing us different cylons thoughts about everything. I wonder why they didnt include any 3s. im sure Lucy wouldve loved to do it.

So I finally watched this

I'm in two minds because on the one hand I liked the way it filled in some gaps in our knowledge, but I think the fact it was doing that made it so disjointed, it didn't quite work for me. Also, there was too much focus on Cavil for me..I don't find him that interesting, and I agree with someone up thread who said that for a show called 'The Plan' there didn't seem to be much of one. I thought we'd get more of the logistics of the Cylons positioning themselves on the Twelve Colonies and especially on Galactica.

Having said that, I really liked how we saw some of the Cylons having doubts and finding it hard to go through with the destruction of mankind. I always liked in the show itself how they didn't just have a cylons=bad mentality, we saw their POV and some Cylons were characters we really sympathised with. Some really sad moments with the Simon who ended up killing himself rather than going through with Cavil's orders. And Boomer! Aww, just makes my heart break for her even more, seeing how torn she was and how she preferred herself when she was being human. I liked the scene with Tyrol and Simon's wife, that was a nice touch. I also enjoyed seeing Sam's role on Caprica.

All in all, I thought the idea was great and there were some excellent moments but I suppose I was expecting something as memorable as the Mini-series and it didn't live up to that for me. I guess that was quite a high expectation to be fair

I think as soon as Cavil's main plan went up in smoke, it was sort of making it up as he went along ..

As you said Kat, I did love seeing the Cylons having doubts of what they were doing, every Cylon seem to be doing it, and seeing Cavil's plan fall around his ears.. Loved the Sam stuff on Caprica, it's a shame thought we hardly saw anything of Tory...

It was interesting to see how certain models seemed to have a harder time going in line with Cavil. And I liked how we saw Leoben getting interested in Kara at that early stage and mentioning it to Cavil.

Seeing a bit more of Tory's story would have been interesting, especially as we never really got any of that in the main show either.

and really liked the Leoben part too, especially when he starting painting her sign

Tory still remains a mystery...I'm not too disappointed because she was never a favourite but it makes it a bit unbalanced.

Yeah that was interesting. I thought they showed the development of his 'obsession' nicely, as we saw his side to why he acted like that in the interrogation.

BTW, was it on the DVD who gave Adama the '12 Cylon models' note?
