Synopsis
After U.S. Marine Logan Thibault finds a photograph of a smiling young woman buried in the dirt during his tour of duty in Iraq, he experiences a sudden streak of luck -- winning poker games and even surviving deadly combat. Only his best friend, Victor, seems to have an explanation for his good fortune: the photograph -- his lucky charm. Back home in Colorado, Thibault can't seem to get the woman in the photograph out of his mind and he sets out on a journey across the country to find her. But Thibault is caught off guard by the strong attraction he feels for the woman he encounters in North Carolina - Elizabeth, a divorced mother -- and he keeps the story of the photo, and his luck, a secret. I don't mind spoilers for movies if I have already read the book they are based on otherwise I just try to avoid.

Ugh, I've never gone into a movie being like TOTALLY spoiled before. Maybe I should make TLO my spoiler experience? :look:

You should try it at least once, just for the experience. :lol:

Though it always takes me multiple viewings of Zac's movies to get an informed opinion. :nod:

I find that I'm just SO OVERWHELMED in viewing one that it's only viewing 2 I can really pay attention and then viewing 3 - 4 is when I can get into analysis mode :lol:

I think it's because we do this - we overanalyse and build educated expectations and so it means that viewing 1 is more overwhelming than with a normal movie that you just think 'oh yeah that sounds allright'

I prefer being overwhelmed though, to underwhelmed. :lol: MAOW underwhelmed me on the first viewing and it took me a few viewings to appreciate it more fully. I remember 17 Again just completely BLEW me away. :thud:

The anticipation is most of the fun though. :lol:
