We were discussing our favourite TG song/duet at V's board, so I thought I'd bring it here too...

"Breaking Free." Without a doubt I can tell you that that is the duet I've watched the most from them, and I still get butterflies at the way he reassures her when she thinks she can't sing in front of that crowd, the way he reminds her that it's like the first time they sang together, "like Kindergarten." That song represented everything the movie was about - being yourself, breaking out of your shell and not conforming to a status quo. It brought the entire school together, it allowed their parents to see a whole new side of them, and it really established for themselves how much they loved singing with one another up on that stage where they didn't have to be anything but themselves.

More than faith
This is truth
This is fate
And together we see it coming

I really could go on for ages, because I just adore that entire song way too much. It's one of the first snippets I ever saw of anything relating to the movie, making me hooked into knowing I'd watch it come premiere night.

I understand how you feel about Breaking Free

Lyrically it's just so symbolic of everything they've been through, you could just see that snippet of the movie and get where they've come from, their tale and where they're at by the end

I don't know how to label my favourite, there are parts of each that I adore. I could just create a TG duet soundtrack and each one represents a different part in the growth and development of their relationship
