HSM2 S&S (36): We've Had the 'Time of Our Lives'














  • Is Zac Efron singing this time for the role of Troy Bolton? Yes, Zac is singing on his own this time around.

  • Will Troy have his own solo, like Gabriella had in the original movie? Yes, Troy will have his own solo.

  • Is there a date between Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez? Yes, there is. In fact, there are several. One that we know for sure of is a picnic where Troy makes Gabriella peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

  • Is there a kiss between Troy & Gabriella? Yes, as confirmed by Bill Borden, Troy and Gabriella will have their first kiss on a golf course in the evening.

  • Will HSM2 end with Sharpay Evans and Troy Bolton together? No.

  • What sort of Chad and Taylor scenes will we get? As of right now, we don’t know. We do know that Chad and Taylor are sort of “dating”, but that’s all we know. Hopefully, we get a lot more than in the first film though.

  • Which Hannah Montana star will make a cameo in the movie? Lucas has confirmed that Miley Cyrus will be making a cameo appearance in the movie.

  • Where was High School Musical 2 filmed? HSM2 was filmed entirely in the state of Utah. School scenes were shot in Salt Lake City at the real East High and country club scenes were shot in St. George, Utah at the Entrada Country Club.

  • Are there any new promotional images or stills from the movie? Yes. All of the promotionals released by Disney, and acquired by us from numerous fansites, are in the promotional gallery. Click on the Banner to see the images.

  • When will HSM2 Premiere? There are multiple dates, check below to locate your country will be airing HSM2:

  • When will the soundtrack be released? Where can I find out about the songs on the soundtrack? Where can I pre-order a copy? The soundtrack will be released on August 14 nationwide (US). All the songs are listed here and you can preview them all on YT – just search HSM2 Soundtrack. Also, we have a copy of the leaked soundtrack, but please pre-order a copy from Walmart or Amazon. If you wish to obtain samples of the soundtrack songs, PM Less Than Perfect or jillrenay.

  • Are there any “specials” with HSM2 like there were with the original movie? Yes. On August 17th, before, during and after the film, the full cast, with Kenny Ortega, will be present at a barbeque. On August 18th, during the encore presentation, a live chat with some of the cast will be answering multiple questions viewers have submitted for them to answer and on August 19th, a sing-a-long version of the movie will be on Disney. There was a dance-a-long special filmed but no dates have been set for that premiere yet. The Road to HSM2 Episodes will also be airing all day on August 17th.

  • When will the DVD be out? The DVD will be released December 11, 2007 so be sure to put it on your Christmas Lists!

The Friday preem of Disney Channel's "High School Musical 2" brought in an astounding 17.24 million viewers, making it the most watched basic cable telecast ever, including sports telecasts, Disney Channel said Saturday.

"HSM2" tuner now ranks as the most-watched TV movie ever with kids 6-11, drawing 6.1 million viewers in that demo, and the most-watched ever with tweeners 9-14, drawing 5.9 million viewers in that demo, according to Disney Channel.

In total households, pic drew a massive 9.4 million cable homes, putting the telecast behind only a handful of sports and news telecasts in cable history in total households deliver. The high total viewer tally also indicates that pic was a family viewing event in most of those 9.4 million households.

Disney Channel followed "HSM2" with a sneak peek of the upcoming animated series "Phineas and Ferb," which held onto a healthy 10.8 million viewers from its windfall lead-in. And at 10:20 p.m., a fresh seg of Disney Channel hit "Hannah Montana" was socko enough to rank as Disney Channel's second most-watched telecast ever, with an average of 10.7 million viewers. "Hannah" also set ll kinds of series records for Disney Channel and the basic cable biz in general, including most-watched seg with kids 6-11 (4.1 million), and most-watched seg with the 9-14 crowd (4.2 million).
