God, I hope Kelsi gets brought back. She'll be the one saving the day in the end, watch.

Exactly Especially because the cast all have that special friendship bond...even with those outside the main 6. Like I've read interviews where Ash has said that sometimes herself, Zac, Vanessa and Chris (Zeke) would do things together outside of filming.

Jill, you've made me think of something. Kelsi is kinda like the link between the drama kids and the Jocks/Brainacs. Like due to her bond with T/G and her being part of the drama club, she's the link who will keep it all together. However, I wonder if she'll fall into the "haves or have nots"?

She is the link. I don't think this will happen in the movie or anything but I could see the possibility of the writers debating on whether Taylor and Chad start pulling back Gabriella and Troy to the "right side of the clique/cafeteria" and Kelsi being the voice of reason between them all and pulling them back together. I love her character. The shy composer who has more common sense then any of them.

Them being friends even in real life makes the movie even better.

I would think she would be one of the "have nots".

I'd think so to. But then I can see Sharpay/Ryan getting Kelsi to help them with their part of the show. So technically a "have not" but helping the "haves"?

Oh, that would be good. A little intrigue.

Who else was on the "haves" side, besides Sharpay and Ryan? The hotel guests?

I've always seen Taylor as a "have" but doesn't flaunt it like Sharpay and Ryan do.

Ryan and Kelsi would be a cute couple. They both seem to have an affection for hats, so it's a perfect match. They did kinda pair Kelsi up with Jason in the end though, but I guess it wouldn't be hard to disregard that little moment in the end of HSM.

Another thing I was wondering about while watching the movie today (they showed it on Finnish TV for the first time - I got my mom and my best friend to watch it ). The producer described the two groups as "haves" and "have nots". Might be a stupid question, but what's he referring to? Money? 'Cause it never seemed like any of the main characters would be from a poor family. Look at Gabriellas house for example.

Was he referring to status or something?

I think, IMO, that he's mainly talking about status vs. money-wise. Because if you look at the homes that were featured in HSM, Gab and Troy's, both of their families seem to be doing well. And you can just tell with Ryan and Sharpay that their family is very well off - especially with all the sparkly clothes, bags and hats. So, I would say it would be status. There's a whole other heirarchy system when you're in high school in America. I'm pretty sure it's probably like that everywhere.

There never seemed to be a big difference money-wise, so the status difference makes sense. I still wonder how they're gonna divide them all. Who's gonna be in the "haves" and who's gonna be in the "have nots"?

My mom really liked the movie btw.

Do we already know that the second movies official title is:

High School Musical 2: Sing It All or Nothing!

I don´t really like it, so I´m still gonna go with HSM2.

HSM2 is good enough for me. I never really got the subtitles thing.

I'm not keen on the title. I'll be sticking with HSM2.
