tftnt..the movie was in the richest mall in St. Louis with Sac's 5th Ave, Neiman Marcus...we walked by and one purse was over $3000, and a little top was 1000, a small bottle of perfume 175. It was all the designers you hear on the red carpets, Versache, ... unbelievable. Gram says if you look at the styles and really good quality clothes, you can learn what to look for at our stores. it's not what it costs, but style and quality??? I'm thinking who besides a movie star would buy a $3200 purse that looks just like one for 50? and even for a star, why spend so much, you could buy a little nice purse and give the $3000 to charity?

I just don't get it. They could look just as beautiful in less expensive stuff, just especially for everyday, if the designers want to let them wear their stuff for a RC, that's different, but really some act like they are so into charity and stuff, how can they justify such extravagance when so many have so little they can barely survive day to day? Would they not be popular in regular clothes? If 10 stars gave up one purse they could donate 30,000. I agree with Ramin, the world has gotten crazy. It was fun to see the other side, but if I was rich, I'd want to do something special with my money, and dress regular for most days except maybe RC?

Any Europeans here who watched Eurovision last night?

The theater I went to in Atlanta where At Any Price was paying was in the nice "rich" area of Atlanta, Buckhead, basically where all of the mansions nd exspenive stores/restaurants are. Ngl, we drove by T.I.'s house while we were over in that area.

Interesting that in two huge cities, the only place AAP is showing is the really exclusive areas? they maybe tried to target those people? or those theaters like indies. The same theaer is the only one in St. Louis that showed MAOW??? there are 6 tiny showing rooms in this small interior theater in the mall, and no promo or sign outside, so you would have to be in the mall walking by to even find it.

That is odd. The theater I am going to n NOLA next weekend is just a regular neighborhood, not the hood by any means, but not exclusive either.

The other 5 movies I'd never heard of, so I guess they just target indies, because you never see any kids in this mall, except maybe tiny ones with a rich mom. We had to wear our best clothes to go so we would fit in better, there are no teens, no big name or kids movies. it's very quiet and elegant all over, like Cartier, really rich stores only. A guy plays a big grand piano, lots of places to sit and chat together on lovely couches and flowers,They wouldn't want a movie that draws kids, or the general public i guess?
