6. Fast & Furious (2001-Present) 11 Movies in Total (So Far) If you are a fan of loud cars, racing, action, and guns, you probably know too much about the Fast & Furious franchise. What is now one of the most beloved action franchises in history, Fast & Furious released its first film, The Fast and the Furious, in 2001 and has since released 11 more films. The most recent one is Fast X, which follows Dominic Toretto, played by Vin Diesel, who is forced to face a new and formidable villain on the horizon that threatens everything he has ever built. What Makes It Great The Fast & Furious franchise has been criticized lately for just making more and more — and more — films. However, there is a sense of loyalty and camaraderie fans have developed with the series that does not seem to go away. Fast & Furious still continues to be front and center for high-octane, fast-paced car chase action that no other film has been able to replicate. The charm of these characters and where they have gone over the years is what keeps people coming back every single time.

2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) Here, we have the polar opposite of a darkly subtle comedy. The high-velocity action of 2 Fast 2 Furious wouldn’t be the same without a ’69 Camaro wearing racing stripes. Because the cars are truly the stars in this franchise, the film’s creators wisely crafted a first-gen Camaro with Yenko graphics inside and out for Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker). While the Yenko was demolished in an elaborate stunt, plenty of ’69 Camaros have met a similarly disastrous fate without exciting a single moviegoer. That’s gonna count for something, because there’s even a book chronicling how much effort went into preparing the cars in The Fast and The Furious movies.

2. Brian O'Conner Was All About Foreign Power Signature Car: Nissan Skyline GT-R and Toyota Supra MK IV The cars Brian O'Conner drove in Fast & Furious proved his passion for imported Japanese cars. It's difficult to pick just one signature car for Brian, because his 1994 Toyota Supra MK IV from the first film is a symbol of the series, as well as his blue Nissan Skyline GT-R from 2 Fast 2 Furious. Brian's background in law enforcement shows that he is reliable, which is the perfect way to describe Japanese cars.
