of course she isn't, she was doing what felt natural. My Mom used to keep the bassinet next to her bed and sleep with her hand on my back until I out grew it just so she could feel if I was breathing/heartbeat. as i got older she'd check a few times a night... ( I was born with a small heart defect ) She did the same for my brother and sister and they were born with no troubles.... it's what Moms do
