The Blu Ray release coincides nicely with the 30 Year Anniversary of the theater release in March '91.
Here are some Screenshots using VLC of the DVD version and what appears to be an HD version. I tried to match exactly the same scenes, I'm within one second. Notice the Aspect ratio is 2.39:1 on the DVD with an annoying black border, HD appears to be 16:9. To compare sharpness, look more closely at the store items in the foreground as they are stationary as opposed to the cast member's which are a bit blurred due to their motion. I hope the Blu Ray will be even Sharper than this, and I hope it includes the deleted scenes also cause at 83 minutes there is a lot of stuff missing:     |
